Hello SE Qlders!,

Could I get an indication of who will be heading to Jindabyne on the Thursday morning? I get back from Melbourne late Wednesday, so its going to be an early Thursday start for me. I think Stuart you are leaving Thursday morn as well? Still trying to work out the best way down, taking into consideration an overnight stop, and hopefully arriving in Jindy not too long after midday, (hopefully).

On Whereis http://www.whereis.com/  it says around 1370kms 15 hours to go via the coast road, skirt around Sydney then onto Goulburn-Canberra-Cooma-Jindabyne.
The inland route going through Kyogle-Casino-Glenn Innes-Armidale-Tamworth-Bathurst-Canberra-Jindabyne is around 1650kms 21 hours!, so I rule that out straight away.

I'd rather knock over 3/4 of the down trip and only ride for a few hours on the Friday, so I'm not too stuffed for the weekend. Coming back I'm allowing a slightly more relaxed trip, 2-3 days. If some of you guys who have done this run before can chime in with recommendations that would be great, its not too long now till blast off,  :good2:

X-Ray,

This is a 'slightly' modified route that Bozo and I took last year coming back from Bellingen.  I've extended to Brissy, and set Jindabyne as final destination.  This route is 1500kms and 18hr 39min according to GoogleMaps.  So, realistically about 17hrs.
http://goo.gl/maps/5h0vn    have a look, see what you think.

Thanks Arnie. The Google maps planner is much better the whereis, it actually gives you suggested options to compare, nice. Actually the Newell Highway option, (1430kms, 15.5 hours) looks to be the best, (staying away from Sydney/Pacific highway)

As a side not, was there any mention of 30th Anniversary Rally shirts being done? I might have missed it.
