I have booked my single poor mans room for fri and sat night. I think its down the back paddock near the outhouse. Who needs a lake view ? Will be heading off early thurs morning and will probably camp somewhere that night. Looking foward to meeting some new faces, catching up with the rest of the crew and riding some of the beautiful high country roads.

I will have to book this week, I am extremely slack! Budget share rooms for me though, I need all of my money for "entertainment", the liquid kind of course,  :rofl2:

I was speaking to the General Stu and we are talking about leaving Thursday morn I think it was as well, (or was it Wednesday?), so we can probably tee something up. Just a heads up for the Qld crew heading down, if we can get something organised for the trip down and back, dates etc that would be good. Or if you prefer riding alone thats fine as well. I think there maybe even some of us driving down with the FJs in tow, but it will all be fun.

That sounds good Ray. I like to get away early on a long ride and knock over a couple of hundred km before stopping for breakfast

There's also an "Exit Fee" :-(, but its normally included in your airfare.

Re: Lovely romantic B&Bs......this place is lovely, and run by "Macka", a long time FJ rider and member here, and his wife Leslie.

I'm acting as a tour guy to some of our overseas visitors so won't be any romantic interludes but anyone interested will be spending a couple of days in Canberra after the rally if anyone would like to stop maybe able to organise a bit of a tour of some of the sights in Canberra, some not available to the general public, at this Stage we will be driving to Canberra then riding from there to the dinner weekend, don't know if I will do it in one run or overnight in Newcastle.

A route I took to the GP back in 08 from Brisbane was out thru Rathdowny, Kyogle, Casino, Grafton, Armidale, Walcha, Gloucester, Nabiac (Motorcycle Museum A must see, no FJ's tho) out thru the back of Sydney down kangaroo Valley thru to Bega up over Brown Mtn, then your almost at the Dinner location  :good2: :yahoo:

Doug, I hope your stint as tour guide goes better than my failed attempt in Arizona.  Best of luck!

Sounds good Kev and Richard....except the price :wacko1:    I can probably get to Eatons Hill hotel for some refreshments etc, but I'll have to save most of my money for the weekend away.

Theres quite a few Boutique Breweries etc in the Brisbane CBD which are good such as this one http://embassybar.com.au/   , just depends on what you would prefer to do.

But,  plan away and I'll certainly do my best to catch up,  :drinks:
