Bozo,

I think all the options I sent you included that bit of road. :-)
Be sure to tell us how well the RPM shock handles it.

BTW  From the Vicroads website, ( http://traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au/ ) you can see all the roads in Vic that are closed for whatever reason.
Just went to check the URL and they are NOT showing the Alpine Way closed.  Maybe they've already cleaned it up.
Arnie, I think that site only shows roads that are closed in Victoria. The road closure near Thredbo is in NSW. The road is still closed and I havn't heard when it's due to re-open. I don't even know if any clear-up work has even started yet. I'm sure it will be sorted out before the Rally as this is a very busy road during the warmer months. And YES, it is one of the roads I'm planning to use for the Saturday ride of the Rally weekend.   Pete.
Pete, knowing you, you are talking about the vertical bit not the flat part with rocks on it  :rofl2:
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.

Arnie, words can't explain how good the shock is, I had a corbin seat ( I bought this 2 yrs ago with the Hagon shock) which I couldn't use because you could feel the bumps on the road, with the RPM suspension front and rear I am now using this seat and it feels great. You'll have to ride my bike when we get to the rally and see for yourself.

UPDATE on road closure Alpine Way, Thredbo; Just heard on local ABC radio news, the road will re-open to oneway traffic, controlled by mobile traffic lights, by Friday this week (2-8-13). They're saying a full re-opening will happen by the end of September 2013.    :i_am_so_happy:  Pete.

Sounds good Pete.

Aaarrgghh! I've got a nice order sitting in my RPM cart waiting to push the order button, but still trying to find funds. Should only be a couple of weeks.........    Going to rebuild the forks with valves of course, new springs, Uni Filters, but unfortunately no RPM rear shock this year. Will be trying to save for it next year though  :good2:

The front discs are a little undersized, but should be good for a while yet. Weighed up the cost of discs/fork valves, the forks get all the pressies,  :rofl2:

Just the emulators/ springs are a huge improvement, unfortunately thats what made me realise the rear shock was worse than I thought.
Just curious why are the discs undersize?, I assume you mean the thickness is undersize

Does that mean your seeing eye dog will be riding a CBR1000? as for the twisting throttle, a virago engine in place of yours will fix that (and help others behind you catch up). Think of it this way, the Virago chicks will love you.

Uhhh The Down Under Bar. Know it well.
Mate of mine managed it back in the 90s.
Being down stairs from the backpackers there was always a party going on.
Memories of my visits are a little foggy. However I do recall that...
Canadians love to party :yahoo:
