Came through the Alpineway a few days back. Road is open and in good condition for most of the way.
cheers.
Was it Cold? Cause I`m suppose to recon that area this Friday with a cantankerous contraption that has everything weird feel`n! (including a boat on the side, but no outboard motor with protected propeller!) Here is the rain forecast at present: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/watl/rainfall/pme.jsp?ref=ftr (scroll to Friday)
Ummm...might throw in a spare snorkel and periscope!... might have to give that Jindabyne dance a miss this time! (We`ll see!) ...Might have ta hit Sydney via tha outback instead of tha South Coast! Do sidecars have a bung in them?  Good news is the Committee meeting in Melbourne (12.30 this Wednesday at The Boathouse, Fairfield park, Ivanhoe east - will be sunny perfect) - all welcome! :drinks:

.Springer.......he's bringing his homework

Funny about that the wife and I worked out the other day that in some 19 years I have not had more than 2 consecutive days off, so this year I am taking 10 days off over Xmas and I am dreading it.

I am already working out ways to avoid it  (popcorn)
I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

How did your walk go Richard?

Good Harvy but there was to much snow and we where a bit under prepared for the full route. But still did a good walk to the top and out to the glacier lakes.

I went through the Alpine way today. Just got away from the bar at the Banjo Patterson.....This venue is even better than the pics! (Lamb shanks were delicous!)....Thinking that ride up to Charlottes pass should be on the ride suggestion to the committee?  :drinks:

No worries Jonesy. Lisa has a great room at the right price for ya on 1800046275. Just let her know if you wish to share. Mention the FJ crew special and book for Friday & saturday nights. The price she`s got for ya is cheaper than any cabin in the area.
