OMG - My shirt and jacket are colour coordinated. How cool is that?!!!  :dance2:

Great pic of Hemi Bob and of the fire pit. Actually all good.
Paul, I will PM you my mailing address. If you can send the chip from the GoPro I can set up a tale of the day on video.

Damn Kev'. I can't get "In Context of the Moon" out of my head now for 4 days. I cheated and watched some versions on YouTube so it's firmly burned into the EEPROM I use for a brain.

The ride back from the BBQ was great though. Hope I didn't worry anybody but I'm a true night rider. Stopped for a coffee in Uxbridge at 1 am and rolled into the driveway around 2:30 am still bright and alert. Up at 7 Sunday to cover a fishing tournament back in Lindsay.
Last night I whipped over to my meeting near Holland Landing and the ride back was getting a bit cool with dew on the seat when I left the meeting hall at 10 p.m.

"you reflect off my sunglasses...." (tom tom roll) Damn. There it goes again.

I wouldn't mind hosting the next one in Sept. but would like to consult with Tiger about possible routes near here to make sure we could come up with at least 3hrs good riding time with enough daylight hours left for visiting and BBQ and then get the campfire going and into the evening for those who hang around.

The small bit of free time I had for Sept. just disappeared today so I won't be organizing or hosting anything.
Maybe next year, hope Calaboogie works out for you guys.

Hey Kev'. Sorry the cell signal dropped on Sunday. Reception in Coboconk is virtually nil and I was in a crowd of noise. I had to keep my eye behind a lens for the next few hours after that, then crashed back at the house since I don't get much sleep after being outdoors for two days and editing video each night for hours on end.

I can't usually plan anything at all this summer. It's one of those things I need to change about my work & living situation. Only 4500 km this summer - how pathetic is that. If I can scoot out for a day run I'll meet up but head home afterwards. This week looks nice and I am itching to take half a day for a shot up to Huntsville - just because. It was 12 months ago this week that I last got there and it was beautiful.

The name is supposedly derived from the local native "Quash-qua-be-conk" but the first white settler swallowed his tongue and died trying to pronounce it so they anglicized it to Coboconk.   (best Bill Murray Ghostbusters voice: Well, that's what I heard!)

Locally we call it "Coby". So why is Bobcaygeon (derived from bob-ca-je-wan-unk) called 'caygeon by its slang name and not Bobby' ?

When a see "Catchacoma" half way up the curvy 507 during a spirited ride, I think "not something I want to catch"

All those are derived from Indian words, yet the one we make fun of the most in this area is Kinmount. The other villages tease that Kinmount was named after the favorite past time of the residents.
