Anyone who wants to get rid of any fairing protectors, let me know, I'd love a complete set. I'm a firm believer in them, and like the way they look. I would even be interested in having extras. I know some people voluntarily take them off.

They rattle.... And, they DON'T "protect" anything, all they do is cover the screws.  Learned that the "hard way"...

After losing and replacing one, got lucky on ebay after about 6 mths, I now have velcro dots on them, can't fall off.

Noel

I drilled two holes in each and put black screws in them................ At least they don't rattle and they stay put...

The RPM coil over rear shock has been listed on the RPM website. I have a $50.00 introductory offer for the first ten units sold.

RPM Coil Over Shock - Early Version

RPM Coil Over Shock - Late Version

I have also added the new RPM stainless steel shifter pivot bolt. The bolt is designed with the small head for use on all versions of the FJ1100/1200. The early model owners can update their foot pegs to the rubber mounted versions that are standard on the late model version.

RPM Shifter Pivot Bolt

I am having trouble getting the pictures loaded on the website, but you can see the bolt below.

Thank you for your continued support.

Hey Randy, New stuff looks great. What other parts would I need to upgrade my foot pegs to rubber mounted?

Thanks, Jeff

p.s. Love my new fork valves.  :dance2: They are amazing and I am really happy with the Renntec rear rack, used it yesterday to carry a five gallon jug of gas!  :i_am_so_happy:

p.p.s. I like that your site keeps my "wish list" in the cart. Current total is $1500... and counting... oil cooler is next on my list  :flag_of_truce:

Jeff,

You need the following to update to the rubber mounted foot pegs;

4) Rubber backed washers
3) Late model mounting bolts
1) RPM shifter pivot bolt

This will remove the wide head allen bolts that came from the factory and allowed the foot peg to contact the head and transfer the vibrations to the rider.

I finally figured out how to re-size the pictures and all of them have been added to the website.

That includes the 90* valve stems as well.

You sure did!

I included a couple on today's order before it was up.    :i_am_so_happy:

Part of the new RPM handlebar risers have arrived and are ready to ship. I had a slight issue with the later model center plugs and they have already be sent back for correction. I hope to see them by the end of the month.

RPM Handle Bar Riser

I personally have had a few of the other sets that are on the market and I saw a product I could improve upon. The other brand has an aluminum tube with a cheap, chrome hardware store plug on the center. It also has a hard time staying inside of the handlebar clip-on as it relies solely on the clamping force of the clip-on. I have lost three of the four center caps on the two sets I currently own.

So, I had an aluminum plug machined and it includes an o-ring around the diameter to keep it firmly in position within the handle bar clip. Look at the finished, it is almost mirror quality and they are not polished yet.

This riser will raise the bars 3/4" and does not require any modification to hydraulic lines or cables. I have included stainless steel mounting hardware and they are cheaper that any other FJ riser on the market.

Thank you, as always for your continued support.

I have been ordering fenders now for quite a while and there are only two colors currently available from the Yamaha warehouse; red and black.

The red (AJ) is for the 84-88 versions.
The black is an undocumented color, it is definitely black and has a metal flake in it.

Yamaha FJ Front Fender

It is not the dark blue color like the black FJ's like Marsh has.

Crap, this reminds me Randy, I meant to get back to you after the WCR, but the fender you were holding back for me will NOT be needed.
Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts.

Any news on the RPM exhaust?

I've been wondering about this too!

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

It has been sometime since I have made any parts updates, so I figured I better get a few out that have changed/updated recently.

I have heard from several people that they did not care for the blue & red anodize fittings of the original RPM oil cooler. Well, I have heard you and now have available the fittings in black too. You can see one installed in the product description.

RPM Oil Cooler

The handle bars risers are now available for all FJ1100 & 1200's; RPM Handle Bar Riser

The RPM exhaust system is still in the prototype & fitment stage. I have received the first set from the jigs and there is some minor tweaking required to get it where I want it to be. It does look & sound great and the complete system is under 10 lbs. That is a reduction of 23lbs over the stock exhaust system and in fact the complete RPM exhaust system weighs as much as one of the stock mufflers. I wish I had a released date, but I do not. I also do not have the price yet as the details still have not been ironed out.

I continue to add to the Yamaha inventory at every order. You can now use the search function of my website with a Yamaha part number to find most O.E. Yamaha parts I have in stock.

The FJ1100 twist grip choke cable is now in stock; 84-85 FJ1100 Choke Cable Assy

There are many other things I have on my note pad I want to do as well as many things already in the works. I am always watching the posts and looking to see patterns of things that might be a useful item, needed regularly or just plain cool.  If you have a suggestion or recommendation for a part or product let me know. I have a running list of requests and the more I get determines what might hit the shelf before something else. Also if you need an O.E. part from Yamaha and I do not have it let me know, I will get you a price for what you are looking for.

As always, I appreciate your continued support and once I get the website updated this week, any order over $200.00 will receive a free RPM T-Shirt while supplies last. Once I get it sorted you will be able to select your size at the time the order is placed.

Thank you, Randy - RPM
