Had to go see the new fork seal driver....  Pretty slick, I might have to get one! I need to order one of the smoke integrated brake lights for my Christmas present next week, maybe I'll get both....

Thanks Randy.   :good:

Got the new valve stem seals installed on new years eve, and the smoked brake light/integrated turn signal the day before that.  Haven't had a good chance to take her out for a good test ride yet, as it's been a little cool and damp up here in the Portland area, but should be able to get out sometime this week when the weather clears a little.  Anyway, thanks again for the info and speedy processing; the package arrived within three days.  :hi:

I have added some more parts to the inventory today. With all of the conversation about speedometers lately I decided to add a new speedometer cable to the fold; Speedo Cable

The PBI 18 tooth front sprocket is now on the shelf; 18T Sprocket

I also added for your cruising comfort when traveling to the rally, the "Crampbuster" throttle control; Crampbuster

The has been great progress on the coolers as well...

Coolers are here.

Lower brackets being fabricated.

Upper brackets being fabricated.

The final pieces to the package are the hoses and fittings which I hope to have in hand by the end on next week. I am spending the next few nights writing up the instructions so they will be ready when everything else comes together.

Thanks again for all of your support. :hi:

Randy,

I think the description on the speedo cable should read 84-93.
Good price btw.

Randy-

You may want to issue a warning along with these cramp busters.  I have one (throttle-rocker) and I really like it, it actually makes the bike feel faster, while being considerably more comfortable.  They also have the distinct advantage of easily allowing throttle position maintenance while transitioning on and off brake coverage, not impossible without, but easier with.

All that said, there have been a few times where I forgot to explicitly lift my wrist when rolling off the throttle.  This in turn lead to that panicky why-is-my-bike-not-slowing-down-as-I-roll-off-the-throttle feeling for a split second before I realized.  It has been years since it happened, but I remove it when anyone else rides my bike as it did take some getting used to.  For those of you considering this, do be aware, it can happen, and in an emergency situation it could be dangerous.

Dan,
I had the same experience with the throttle rocker; unintended (though slight) throttle application when I wasn't expecting it, or didn't want it.  I'm sure more use/training would have helped, but I'm too impatient.

I use it for droning down the highway, but NEVER in the twisties!

Exactly why I have a Vista Cruise instead.

Good point Dan.
I have the Throttle Rocker and really enjoy it, but that first day of riding at the ECFR I learned real quick that it had to come off!
There is a time and place for most everything in life, but the Throttle Rocker and twisty roads don't go together.

Thanks for the input of the crampbuster, my thought was it would be great for slabbing, but not in the twisties and by the experiences related already sounds like that's the correct thought.

Thanks,

I have a Cramp Buster on the far outer end of the grip. Haven't noticed it getting in the way..........I guess there is 1 benefit to having small hands

I have a throttle rocker, used it when my hands were giving me trouble. Yes to everything allready said. But it did help with fatige, but scared me a few times till I got use to it. I don't use it anymore since going to larger grips.
I also don't do long trips under 200 mile a day. No straight roads if poss.

I have a Throttle Rocker which I attach as close as possible to the end of the throttle and move my hand in a little when I do not want to use it.  On another motorcycle forum, the people seem to use the CB1/CB3 model of the Crampbuster or modify the Throttle Rocker to make it narrower.

racerrad8

With that said, I will go ahead and order the narrow version so there is the option for those that want it.
