Yep, just mentioned to Arnie I think we can call the 'chest mount' a crotch mount.
The 'cruise' was me trying to go quick, but compared to later in the day, it really was a 'fast' cruise.
I forgot to mention, the photos I posted above are not mine, they are Johno's. Thanks Johno, amazing what you can do without a phone these days! My fav's are Diesel Dave & Alf on Johnos' bike, and Pete for some reason going slow on an awesome corner (what happened there Pete?).
Richard, nice pics too mate. Lenny's 1100 over the lake looks really good.

That's great write up Troy, but would you do it again and recommend others make the effort.

Noel

PS ...I like the vid.

He he he, I've have to think about it perhaps.
Dude the chest mount is now for watersports. Helmet mount all the way for me.

Thanks Doug, I still need to organise that tank if you still  have it...
Pete has a cool mounting point he made that goes just below the headlight, just needs his gopro..... :sarcastic:

I have put together a video of the rally. I attended on my newish 650 V Strom this year and unfortunately the camera mount broke just before the Sat group ride so I dont have much footage of FJ's in action

:gamer: Great video Stuart and well edited with the music and still shots. I looks like you have it mounted on your bike but there is little vibration on it.

As I am looking at cams at the moment can you tell me which one you have please.

Shane
It's great to throw the leg over. :drinks:

Good video, this will help me to review before I make it over for a rally. Getting used to riding on the other side of the road will be very important once there...

Looks like a good time was had by all.  :good2:
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

stua1959

Shane, I think I just got lucky with the vibration. It was mounted to the crash bars on the Strom. Its actually a cheapy $80  Navigator sports cam. The main difference between that and go pros etc is the quality of the fittings as I found out

NotSo

Thank you for your reply Stu. OK so can look at cheaper ones as well.  :good2:

Its nice to see what I missed out on

Sounds like you guys had a great time
Still thinking of something..................

Bones

That was a great video Stu, did you use the same camera for all the video, if so, for a cheap camera it shoots excellent quality footage, even in low light. It's hard finding the ideal spot for a camera on a bike without getting some sort of vibration, but the spot you had it mounted wasn't too bad.

What was the first song, sounded like Matt Taylor and Chain.??

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

stua1959

Thanks, same camera all the way. It was indeed Chain, the second tune was by Hunters & Collectors
