Was this last ridden by a Canadian? Enquiring minds want to know

"RIDDEN" may not be the correct word. Crash tested is probably more accurate.    :empathy3:   Pete.

HAHA.......crash tested indeed......but thanks to an aggressive Canadian and some loose gravel....looks like our pensioner ended up a little heavier in the pocket..... :mocking:....and no....that doesn't mean I was asked to drop the " Blue Tuna " on purpose...... :shok:... it was an accident.....honest........

This was only her third Rally. (4th if ya count tha FJR Rally that Baldy pushed her to )...sniff. I had nursed her back to health with my bare hands after Arnie had made her carry his huge load around all them QLD Hinterland Mountains at the 2012 Rally....He tore the tendons out of her gear lever  :cray: but still faithfully, she kept hauling! .....Then, in the prime of her life (refer 1205 on Bones`s mapleton video for proof on the trot!) she takes that Big Arse, Tequila Slamming Man from upover snowy`s and gets written off into Aussie Folk history,....sniff, sniff, just like Banjo Patterson wrote a century or two ago.. (http://www.middlemiss.org/lit/authors/patersonab/poetry/snowy.html)

There had been movement where he was stationed and the turd had gone to ground,
when he heard that Rover from Petrie had got away.
They had reached the mountain's summit, where even Candy took a pull,
It well might make the boldest hold their breath,

So he sent them flintstones flying as he zipped up his pants
and cleared the fallen timber in his stride,
for never yet was rider that could keep that yob in sight,
If once he gain the shelter of those hills.

So Clandy rode to wheel him - he was racing on a whim,
But Rich was still way back taking pics!
Full blip on her throttle and the pony got full grip,
while the man from Snowy liver cried out "shit"!

Trees became a blurr as he put her inta third,
it was grand to see this Mountain Doofus ride.
But alas things came unravelled as he came across some gravel,
then slid and bucked across the Great Divide.

Through the stringybarks and saplings, on the rough and broken ground,
Her flanks were still pristine in FJ Blue.
Thought he`d saved her for sure, but hit a little mound,
Then off into the mountain scrub he flew.

Now this hardy mountain pony could scarcely raise a trot,
she was scratched from hip to shoulder from the spur;
But her pluck was still undaunted, and her courage fiery hot,
For never yet was a Queensland steed a cur.

Clandy rose all shaken, only left hand out of skew,
so at night the other would do best.
Then with taped up bits all scraggy, he gave the steed her head,
and she hauled his big arse back to Banjo`s shed.

There she sat all forlorn with her scars and mods in tatters
while the Rally bar toasted her demise.
Her life was full of daring, fun and good manners
but Shannons put an end to all her rides.

And down by Kosciosko where the pine-clad ridges raise
Their torn and rugged battlements on high
Where the air is clear as crystal, and the white stars fairly blaze
At midnight in the cold and frosty sky,
And where around The Overflow the reed beds sweep & sway
To the breezes, and the rolling plains are wide,
The Man from Snowy Liver is a household word today,
And the stockmen tell the story of his ride. (sniff sniff,  :cray:)

(sniff), Can`t stop thinking of her...could easily have added this verse to her history...

She was hard and tough and wiry - just the sort that won't say die -
There was courage in her quick impatient tread;
And she bore the badge of gameness in her bright and fiery eye,
And the proud and lofty carriage of her head.

But alas I`m not in a position to save her from the gallows. Did I mention that exhaust system is ceramic coated inside and out?...the new head steering bearings, wheel bearings, recond and stiffened rear shock, gold valves and modded springs up front by  local suspension company, (before RPM developed their superior mods), great non turbulent screen, bright eyes, brand new Pirelli sport Demon holding her hind footing, (installed in Brissie and noticeably missing even the slightest chicken strip when it arrived in Jindabyne !)...probly needs some carb bits looked at one day, but her heart still good for another play in heaven ... snif, sniff  :cray:
