Will be awaiting a answer from randy, if he has them pre-undercutt i would try to order some. Did get some prices for undercutting the trans. but it is waaay to expensive over here....

Have just a few more pictures this time.
Been struggling with the clear coat on the mufflers, as I seem to have beed impatient with laying the layers.. And that impatient have a cost, a cost of more labor!  :dash1:
This is the second time i am doing this, sanding imperfections down so I once again have a smooth surface to lay the coat on.

I noticed that there were some small color changes a few spots, after I laid the final coat yesterday. It seems too be a much lighter black coat, but it has come days after I laid down the 2 first clear coats. It's also in areas were I haven't done any sanding so the clear coat must have caused it. The muffler is rapped in a stainless steel plate, might that have caused it? There is 6 layers of black coat on it, so the base layers are rock solid!  :scratch_one-s_head:

Regardless of the imperfections, I am still satisfied withe the result. The muffler will be replaced during the winter after all  :good2: That is if all goes as planed, which they rarely do...

This is some before pictures, will take some after pics too, but will let the clear harden and buff the muffler first  :yahoo:

Well, i must say, there is allways more parts you need then you think. Good thing we have RPM then  :good2:

Con.rod bearings, crankshaft bearings and new stud bolts is in house, now the only thing left to accuire is:
1 Shift Fork - Right
1 Shift Fork - Center
1 Shift Fork - Left
1 Intake Manifold Set
1 Yamaha 17T Drive Sprocket
1 Yamaha Drive Spocket Lock
1 Undercut transmission

Orders are in for the all the parts, except the transmission (not in from the undercutter yet)
I order just the front sprocket cause I'll be doing the FZR rear mod soon, and will be changing chain and sprockets then. Have not decided for which combo to go for yet, but thats a problem for another time.  :i_am_so_happy:

Went over to my mechanic place to do some cleaning on the lower frame parter.
Damn, it was hard labure for 2 hours to get it clean. And still there are some spots left.
I went through 2 brushes and tons of chem. and water. Amazing how hard 30 year old dirt becomes, like concrete glued to the frame.

Here's the old before picture.

Cheers
Ken

mmm...$374 (max) includes return tickets for bike and 1 Cabin berth over (recliner return)... If I had the time...I would do Phillip Island World Super Bikes 23rd Feb followed by a week around Tassie followed by a tour of tha Snowy mountains  :yahoo: for the Aussie Anniversary FJ Rally...Now who was it that voted for the Rally ta be in Tassie?..If you were coming from the North  You would have had to allocate the same time away anyhow?...Actually from nearly any direction the time factor isn`t that much different...mmmm...A new thread required me thinks...
