Everybody got their bikes together and in running condition for this falls rally?

The days are clicking away and it will soon be time to hit the road.

What about the FJ?

mst3kguy

both are still at bill's house.  he's been pretty busy and i'm in no rush as long as i have one bike to ride.  ( :

Who, how, and when are the day trip rides planned?
Do you folks have a limit of miles to go per day?

Just been going over alot of online maps of the area and see that there is alot of options, and I'd love to see as much as possible while at the rally.

we usually decide about 10 minutes before hopping on the bikes.  seriously.  usually carey is the "leader" of one group; hoffman often times does his own thing or will lead a group; i'm not sure who leads the more casual rides.

Leon, don't expect any kind of organized anything or you'll be disappointed. :)

I (we) just mill around like cattle after breakfast until somebody says let's go somewhere.  It used to be Hoffman driving us to move but he's given up.  It's always fun though, I can't wait.  Really if you have a plan or destination just say so and somebody will take you.  Otherwise just get in with a group and ride, there's no bad routes.  I'd say 200-300 miles is typical - these days.

The typical spots I guess, the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway, maybe the Moonshiner 28, a run down into Ga.
Did I read the T.W.O. was closed?
What else is there in Ga for a destination?

I'm open to anything really, but I do need to get the Dragon out of my system, as much as it being somewhat a tourist destination more than anything else, it's still one of those things on my "Bucket List" I'd like to check off.

Not worried about the miles either, just was looking for an idea on how much road time you guys put into a rally.

So I understand correctly, there are different routes run at the same time, so the whole group isn't together throughout the day?

Are the different groups decided by destination or rider skill level?
I don't mind riding in the back, actually I prefer it.

We pretty much always make a Dragon run at some point, and even though TWO is closed, I don't see us not making a trip down there, too.

As long as Dean doesn't end up taking us to Helen for the big parade, you probably won't be disappointed.

N GA rides:

R6 Blood Mountain ( us 129 )

Wolf Pen Gap Road

Richard B Russell National Scenic Byway. (Georgia RT. 348)

mst3kguy
