Thanks.

I looked at your link and several of the routes are not shown.  How can they be added?

Here is a website dedicated to "motorcycle roads" and reviews on them. http://www.motorcycleroads.com/Routes/Colorado_81.html

It looks like pretty good information.

I hope to go to the Colorado rally but it will all depend on job and money issues.  Won't know in time to make any reservations.

Steve,

Now your link includes all the recommended roads and then some.  Originally it didn't seem to include any of the roads in the Pueblo/Colorado Springs area.

Glenwood Springs still seems to be central to most areas.

Hiking? baaaah.... IIRC you and Klavdy are due for a foot race.....A nice run up the peak would do it.

I wasn't sure on some of the roads around Denver - they seemed to be highlighted but I couldn't tell for sure.  I added the run from Durango to Pikes Peak as there was some mention of going there as well.   If you want me to add any or delete any just give me Hwy numbers in succession and I can add them.   On the map you should see the Durango loop - then at the north point of the loop a run to Grand Junction -- a loop around Colorado Nat Mon.  and then and loop East of Grand Junction.   The Denver area loop was my best guess but it may be in error.
Clicking on each color group should give you the details of each leg.

Be sure to try to find out if there is any road construction scheduled on (or anywhere near) the routes.  Construction delays in Colorado can take hours.  Usually, it's the only road in the area, so you can't use an alternate route to go around.

I had delays over Wolf Creek Pass and between Southfork and Lake City/Creede.  Got so frustrated I turned around and parked the bike for the remainder of the week.  I don't think they do construction over the weekend though, but it can be terrible during the week.

So, you have all the gravel roads and water crossings mapped out yet?
