I'm reasonably certain you are the reason Klavdy pointed it out, Marsh, and not in a good way. I seem to recall something about public hot tubs being 'oatmeal pits' and Klavdy being afraid of them, like some folks are afraid of spiders, snakes and clowns  etc.

Have any of you guys thought of maybe riding to the summit of Pikes Peak?
I have just read that it is now completely paved.
Just to give you an idea of distance, it is roughly 170 miles from Gunnison, or 3.5 hours.

No doubt it would be a full day of riding, but I'd love to give it a go.

I'm open to all your thoughts.

Pikes peak is a good run - here's the page from the album from 1990 from a trip I made in my early FJ years -- cross the US from Toronto.  Also, there is the HIGHEST paved road in America in Colorado but it is not as scenic as the Pikes Peak run -- This paved road goes to Mt Evans.. goes up 14264'
