 The engine/tranny set up in the video was about $83,000 delivered.I think that makes the shipping insurance more than I have in my whole FJ project.The valves are titanium made by DelWest.The pistons start life as custom diesel forgings.The heads were originally designed as a race only modular starting point.Basically a set of ports with valves and rockers.The customer welds on a ring containing the combustion chamber and head bolt threads.I did the port finishing and valve job on these heads.We did a run of ten set a few years ago and I think we still have four sets left.These big motors are extremely inefficient.Here is some more background on Randy's customer.he is truly into exotic projects.

The engines we build on a daily basis go up to 155" which make around 160hp/170torque.these are very civilized.They idle nicely,don't get hot in traffic and have incredible throttle response right from idle.They have a 4.600 bore/4.625" stroke,2.150"/1.725" stainless steel valves.They sell for around $13k depending on finish for the engine only.We build a lot of 131" engines that will fit in a stock Harley chassis that make about 145/145 and sell for around $12k.

Took a harley for a test ride back in the 80's got off and told the sales rep what were your engineers thinking when they built this thing.Went down to the local yammy dealer test rode the then new 86 fj1200 and bought her on the spot, that pretty well sums up my harley experience

The chain lube is a salve for the pipe burns. Think they make a Corbin for that? Or is it not necessary for photo shoots?
