Getting close to that magical number 20.

Joe

Yep...  I'm working on details of how to get deposits to Kent.  I will talk with him later this week and I bet we're well over the 20 rider mark by then.  The next challenge will be getting deposits in place.  Once that's locked, we'll get into individual details...

Excellent response everyone!

Been a way from the forum for a while, looks like this year rally is in Hayfork. Did not get a chance to ride last time because of rain, I'm looking forward to riding the great roads everyone keeps talking about. Missed last year's Rally so it will good to see and catch up with everyone.

Frank catching up on whatt I have missed I saw a post about the Trinity River and fishing, my second favorite hobby. Never fished in Northern Cal do mostly offshore; but can you ask about fishing in the area will come early or leave late for good fishing.

Mike!  I was wondering if you'd finally had enough of us.  Glad to hear you'll be there this (hopefully dry) year.  It will be a good get together no matter the weather.

I've never done any fishing in that area...  I was maybe referring to a retirement hobby I'm trying to pick up.  Have you seen the Al jet boats chasing up whitewater to find their fishing spot?  I got somewhat of a project 1988 23' Duckworth Magnum Jet Sled that has been repowered with a 8.1L 450Hp Vortec marine engine and an American Turbine SPR310 or something like that...  in a 3300# aluminum hull.  I'm working through issues and should have it in the water within a couple weeks.  It's exceptionally well setup for lake fishing as well and I live 10 minutes from a launch to lake Billy Chinook (look it up)...  Wanna go fishing in Oregon?

Here's the trip to the fishing hole...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG-nmf5LJjM

PS - with the off record votes from Diane and a couple others, that's 20+ on committed deposits!  I'm working details with Kent, but I'll be posting a "Hayfork is a go" message instructions for placing deposits in the next couple days.  Shortly thereafter I'll get a tracker going so we can get the details nailed down (days, rooms, meals, big vs little spoon, etc.).

Sadly going to miss the rally this year far too much on the go. Going to tour with some swiss group Western Canada. Suzuki SV650 track bike almost done, have plans for 6 track days weather permitting. Then there is some bicycle touring planned. Have a great rally, till next time.
Cheers.

I know I missed the voting - but I can let you know I will not be attending this years rally.   - Sadly it will be the first rally I will be missing since I started going.   If it was closer I would blast to it on Thursday evening but its too far for that  --- and I don't have the number of days off this year due to a European commitment to leave any earlier.

Things could change -- and if they do I will let all know.

I hope they do change Steve...  You can pretty much show up at the last minute this time around as there will be space and food for you since they can handle a couple hundred guests and we'll be the only group there.  I remember following you around last time in Hayfork trying to remember how to ride in the rain...  I'd just gotten back on the motorbike after a 20+ year hiatus.  Thanks again!

Update on process:  We are past the number of deposits to get us locked in, so Hayfork is a go.  Kent has been traveling and this has delayed my posting the details of placing the deposit, choosing the accommodations/food, etc.  Kent is back this week, so I should have details out within a few days.

Who has the SHIRT?

I don't have it -- last I saw it was flynt -- I think I gave it to Flynt two years ago -- although he performed the task beautifully I don't remember him wearing the shirt. - but I will check to be safe.

Who has the SHIRT?

I believe Andy has it. The last recollection of the shirt, and who was graced with it was from college Coloma.

If you recall, Andy was the first one out of the clutch lever holding competition. :rofl2: :bomb:

He was in the UK for the 2018 wcr so he is still obligated for 2019.

Seems like Andy and I talked about it at the RPM Fall Rally a few months ago, but I really don't remember...
