1. i thought about what pic to use for that for a while, i knew i couldn't make everyone happy,  :cray:   i guess the 84' made the most sense because it is the original. even though no one (so far) coming to the rally has an 84'. trying not to play favorites.

2. what did you want to see on the back? anything/everything is possible. i was trying to keep us from looking like a walking billboard sign. so i kept it simple.
if we did the shirts after the rally we could put everyone's name on them.

3. yes i know about the white, i tried other colors but the detail of the bike got lost in the color, maybe there could be a white background behind the bike to make it stand out more.

4. i can't help you with the peanut oil question, but i have always had good luck with canola. Olive oil has a low flash point so didn't want to risk a fire.  :negative:

actually my jaw hit the floor when i saw the price for 20 shirts, i was going to check a local place to see if it was any cheaper.

and yes i know if we weren't all so cheap we would all be driving new FJR's or R1's, instead of 20 year old bikes

sounds like your a little under the weather  :empathy3: did you come down with a severe case of Moditis you know that can affect work life, home life, and personal life. and if you get it bad enough you will miss most of the riding season, including the rally.

we have a problem putting the fj picture on the shirt, one i guess it won't look very good but more importantly it would be very expensive.

this can be done for a reasonable price, Doug will be happy there is no red bike  :good:

who's interested PM me your size.

also you guys will be happy to know when Bob and I was in Rangley one of the rally roads was 35 miles of Twisty's with great scenery.

i put over 650 miles on my bike this weekend, had to go back to Rangley and snap a few pictures.
they may have come out a little better but our Canadian friends decided to start a big fire and smoke us out  :flag_of_truce:

if i was more hi-tech i would have taken video.

Beautiful Travis.

BTW, how's the pavement looking?  Have any of our taxes gone to the D.O.T. in western Maine?

there is a couple mile section on RT. 17 just before the top of the mountain that is pretty rough and bumpy.  :negative:
it might not be so bad if you go the speed limit though.

But there is plenty of places to drive like this   minus the wheelies of course.

I got a little camp wood --spruce--cut and split on Sunday.  It's a start.  I may be able to get about the same amount in slab wood.

I'm planning to trailer the bike, so the back of the truck (6'-8" minus the tool box) I can fill with wood.

I concede in advance to the fires at Boone.

Hey frank,
Are you coming to the NE Rally, do you want sync up and ride up some of the way together?
If you want to stay at my place on wed night you'd be welcome to.
I plan on leaving on thursday, and riding across the mountains.

Interested??

For now,
Nobby
