It looks like gasket goop.  I just had the clutch cover off my bike and you can see the over application of gasket maker used to hold the gaskets in place.  Mine was not to bad, but if it was excessive throughout the engine I can see how you would have so much in the pickup screen.  Just seeing that in your screen makes me want to pull my oil pan and check the screen.

Later...... :bye2:

Wow, those elbows must be a blur. Check out my vid under the mods section - 17 inch conversion. You'll see I didn't go anywhere near as far as you've gone with yours.
Just that project took me a full 7 days, plus a half day to fix any last issues after the first ride.
I see by the billboard of a rear number plate, you could be in England. I used to live in East Anglia - suffolk

sometime this week the fork parts should come from Mr yamaha so i can rebuild the forks

then i will start to look around for an exhaust !!

so what would you fit

4-2-1
or should i go for
4-2-2
i have no clue
or what make to fit
not to noisy but better performance

I know they are pricey but might be so bad for you in England..... Staintune 4/2 system

or a 4/2/1 system will let you hang onto the low end torque as well as a 4/2 system

Thank you for the pictures.

FeralJuggernaut

I want to ask what you use to clean up the outside of the motor and get back to pre-paint mode.   One of the picts looks like a sand blaster in the background.  Any other chemistry you would like to endorse?  Words of inspiration??   Thanks for saving one of the breed, good on ya!     :drinks:

Thanks for the inspiration!  Looks great!
Another question - what paint did you use for the frame?  Have you used it on other projects?  How does it hold up to use?

Thanks,
Chris
