Romans 8:27-29 NIV (New International Version)

27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and who have been called according to his purpose.

29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son

Hi Pam, I have not had the pleasure of meeting my brother Mark, but there is no doubt that one day I will. Godspeed with His Divine healing and purose.....our prayers will be with you and your family

Never regret your choices in life ! There is no way to go back to do it again and compare. Make the most and do your best with every decision you make

An orphanage full of abandoned kids is a heartbreaking place then good people like yourselves come along with 5 of your own to care for and still find enough time, love and generosity of spirit to bring some joy into their lives and then this.  It's not right, it shouldn't happen to the good guys.

I, like many here enjoy Marks reports and observations of the quirkiness of life in Hungary and look forward to their resumption, even if from a different perspective for a while.

No two things seem further apart than being in hospital and the thought of cruising the open road on the FJ, but it's very potent medicine.

A speedy and full recovery, I need to know if the locals have actually started riding their push bikes yet.

Pam and Family.  I have always been struck by the kindness I see in your husband.  I have not met him in person, but his kindness has been palpable through what he wrote, and his deeds.  Please know that we are all pulling for him.  Take care.

Dan

Dan summed up my thoughts perfectly.  I couldn't possibly imagine what you and your husband are going through.  I am sending my love, thoughts & prayers your way.  When you can, please let him know that he is in all of our thoughts.
I'm with Dan and Marsh and their sentiments, was only talking to the General the other day to see if there was a way for us to help Mark and you on your endeavors Pam now will be talking with my higher power hoping that will help in Marks recovery

You've demonstrated your strength by taking the time to post this for Mark's on-line friends at a very difficult time. For that I thank you.

Here I am, guys - MARK. I am typing on a Hungarian keyboard, so this will take a while. I'm sitting at the nurse's station now because of wireless connection problems.

I'm not sure why my wife said I was in a fatal car accident. Very, VERY close, though. :unknown:

I made it through the first 2 pages of posts before getting choked up... and where my injuries are, that's really painful.
I have a photo I will show you taken as I climbed into the ambulance. As my wife says, "My head was a ball of blood, hair, bone parts, and teeth." There's a visual for you. The cable was unmarked and I caught it in my mouth, shattering my jawbone and actually cracked my skull. Blood was EVERYWHERE. My eyes were completely black and bleeding. I went into a coma for 5 days and regained consciousness 4 days ago. Pam continued to get calls from the hospital with their concern that I was not responding and I might not make it. Imagine having to deal with THAT.

I still have a feeding tube installed which is very painful. They told me they would remove it tomorrow. When I get full internet access I'll show you that picture I know you all want to see. I showed it to my roommate, and he yelled in Hungarian, "Jesus Christ is looking out for YOU, buddy!!!" He's right. God is very good to me and my family!

Absolutely SUPERB news my friend, news that a great number of your extended family, (old and new), along with all your direct family and loved ones, have been waiting for... :yahoo:

We all wish you a speedy recovery and hope to 'hear' more from you as the days/weeks/months go by... :good2:

God speed.....may he continue to watch over you.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!
