This is Mark's wife Pamela.  I know how much you all helped with the orphanage project this year and how much your friendship mean to Mark.
I will be brief because I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to let you all know about Mark's car accident.
Yesterday Mark was driving his Trabont on the taxi way of the air base here in Papa.  There was a large cable stretched across the road.  Mark didn't see the cable and hit it straight on.  Either from the cable/windshied etc. his face and jaw was broken in 6 places with half of his face being cut but still attached.  They thought in the beginning he could be paralyzed because of the inpact but the ct scans proved his spine was ok.  He was in surgery for 7 hours and is now in ICU recovering.  As of this moment he has a trachoetomy in to help him breath.  In the futer he will probably be moved to Vienna because of the translation problem.  I will try my best to keep you all informed but I have 5 children and myself to help get through this.  Mark is strong and healthy and most of all he has the Lord.  If any of you pray, please pray for him.  This process will be a long road ahead mostly for him but also us as a family.
Blessings to you all for helping with the orphanage this year.  A friend of mine will be taking the gifts to the children.  I've asked her to take lots of pictures so I can post them for you all to see.
Merry Christmas to you all, and give each of your loved ones a hug because life is short and you never know what each day will bring.

Pam and Family.  I have always been struck by the kindness I see in your husband.  I have not met him in person, but his kindness has been palpable through what he wrote, and his deeds.  Please know that we are all pulling for him.  Take care.
