Well Damn! Another FJ'r in Utah.    Any others?

I just moved here couple weeks ago, and the ol' girl is getting some long overdue spending done on her, like new Pirelli's and fork seals.

I anticipate she'll be road ready in a couple weeks. (paperwork rego insurance, ya know, all that spendy time-consuming crap) But then I'll be buggering off back to Australia for a couple months.

I have been reading some of the posts here and I think it shows the differences between FJ riders and those who ride other models. How many of us have more than one FJ or motorcycle and if you sell your FJ then you end up buying another one. Something special about the motorcycle and the riders!

Just picked up a Suzuki DRZ400S dual sport today. It runs and looks great. Bought it off my best friend he had to move and did not want to take it with them(new job). Planing on posting some pictures when I can. Needs a little maintenance and two new tires then good to go. With the new job and more money I think he will buy something bigger. This is good news for me.

Ordered a new set of Avon tyres today the azaro 16" rear and 110 front this will give me time to find new wheels the 17" rear and wider front.  
Bought the tyres from motorcycle superstore who had them in stock they matched the price from rocky mountain atv witch was the lowest I could find including southwest moto tires who was the cheapest in the past.

So yesterday I posted can't spend any more money for a little bit need to recharge the funds. Well today stopped by cycle gear on bought street boots, pants and a jacket with other miscellaneous sat dealtuff. Need to quit doing this but got a great deal. All black and I do not look like a power ranger. With FJmonkey getting so close to a pink stripe He must have pink on the brain. He must be dreaming of it right now. Soon he be looking at the world through a pink power ranger helmet shield (far better than roes colored power ranger shield I am told).

IMO good riding gear is not a luxury....... it's necessary insurance.

Yes I have always been a be-leaver in protective gear and sold a lot of it when I worked in motorcycle shops. People who think since "I have not had a problem so I don't need a helmet, gloves or a jacket" that is just stupid. Cant fix stupid.

So I was at the local Yamaha dealer today and stopped to look at a FJR1300. Here comes a sales man telling me what bike this was and how it was A GREAT DEAL. A new  2009 for only 13,000 dollars when I said that is not such great deal to me. He told me that I have no idea what I was talking about and knew nothing about motorcycles. Wished him a good day and left. I won't be buying any bikes there. Many times it"s not what you say but how you say it that matters. In just a few words he turned me from a customer in to a person who won't buy from them. Arrogance and stupidity not a good mix.
