I am new to this forum but not new to motorcycling. Riding street/dirt for over thirty years. Bought my 93 FJ1200 back in 94 I was working in a Yamaha dealership and all ways wanted one when Yamaha quit making them. In the spring of 94 the owner of the shop went to a Yamaha auction and purchased some new still in crate 93 models. So I thought last chance if you want a new one. Many things have come and gone in my life but my FJ has remained. It has 21,000 miles has been stored inside and still looks great. I went for a ride today (got rained on) and had as much fun as ever. Started my own business about eight years ago did not leave much time for riding but you need that sanity break. I am going to start riding a couple of times a week. Always looking for some one who wants to go for a ride. My FJ has a Vance&Hines exhaust, Corbin saddle, has been jetted, along with many other small mods. I love this forum and am looking forward many other great ideas, this could get spendy. Brake mods, new rear shock, 17" rear wheel and on and on you know the story. There is nothing like a quiet road 5th gear 6,000rpm, 100mph and your FJ says wake me when we get there! So many lonely roads in Utah. One of the things I love about this place! I hope to get to know you better over months and years to come. Thanks to everyone for making this such GREAT FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome from Downunder. Nice Intro. For even better Sanity, progress to an additional coupla weeks of riding, at least once a year...They can end up virtually self funded.  Doug

Well Damn! Another FJ'r in Utah.  :good2:  Any others?

I just moved here couple weeks ago, and the ol' girl is getting some long overdue spending done on her, like new Pirelli's and fork seals.

I anticipate she'll be road ready in a couple weeks. (paperwork rego insurance, ya know, all that spendy time-consuming crap) But then I'll be buggering off back to Australia for a couple months.

I'll be looking forward to some rides with ya mate upon my return, though you could always drop on by for a visit in the meanwhile.

I'm up in Brigham. where 'bouts in Salt Lake are ya?

:yahoo:  RUMBOY sorry you going down under for a few months but fall is a great time to ride in Utah. As for your fj get-R-done. I live south and west of Salt Lake City we are about an hour apart. If you need or want some help with your fj let me know just have cold beer. Do they drink beer warm, cold or both down under? Send me a PM. :drinks:

FJMONKEY did not mean to steal your thunder. My wife got that in an email a few weeks ago so I can not take credit for thinking it up. It so matches one of our friends who thinks everything is better with vodka. They just moved to Ely Nevada, she came back to Salt Lake this weekend and spent $200 on alcohol. I guess if she is happy then he is happy? Not much to do in Ely. If we meet at a rally I will buy a drink how about that? :drinks:
