That's one helluva ride!!!  I have made the drive from Albany to TO and back many times.  Must be a great look goin through the 1000 Islands.

Looks like you're gonna have a decent ride there yourself...I believe there is at least one more member coming up from NY.

Well guys, you have really got my attention!  Just have to clear up a few things to make sure the weekend is open and I do think I may join you for a pleasant ride thru the the States.  I am also in Kingston so once I am sure I am going I will be in touch to confirm.  Just one more RED & WHITE on the hi-way.   :drinks:    And by the way........ isn't all the good whiskey from Canada?     :good:

Yes.

If you want excellent whiskey, you go to KY or TN...     :bomb:   :nyam2:

My Favorite KY whiskey:

One of the few blends I'll drink.  Mostly I'm a single malt kind of guy.

Dan, I have that exact whiskey sitting on my counter.

Unfortunately, my bottle has somewhat less in it than that one.    :sorry:

:drinks: I have a bottle of 12 yr Glenfiddich chill'n in the freezer......right next to the "Jose Cuervo"..........wowwwww smooth baby smooth.....the only one I've ever had that was better was a bottle of 50 yr old "Civas"..............4 yrs ago while'st in China...that was an experience .....  :flag_of_truce:

ps......all whiskey wars aside..........does the Canadian posse have orginized lodging or do we take care of our own?

big r

You guys should get one of the canadians to bring a bottle of 40 creek to the rally. It's the best Canadian whiskey that I have ever drank. Doesn't even need any thing but an ice cube

CanDman

I've never even heard of it ......40 Creek that is...but I am willing to try (almost) anything once. I would be a bit apprehensive having a swig of anything distilled in Knob Creek.....do you suppose that's what "get on the piss" means?  :scratch_one-s_head:....maybe thats why Capone went north for his whiskey......
Now what about the ride home......I am seriously considering the return trip through Vermont and New York.......amazing roads.....I mean amazing!!! I was actually thinking of a Sunday night layover in Lake Placid and off toward the 1000 islands border Monday........anyone is welcome to join me.........

Dan +1 on your choice of scotch.. Those happen to be my 3 favourites... There is ALWAYS a bottle of Laphroaig in my drinks cupboard... Kinda spoils you for anything else after you get a taste for it.. Mmmm mmmm mmmm... :good2: :good:

Back in 1975 I had a whisky in Wales (UK) called Swn Y Mor (from memory it means "Sound of the Ocean" or something similar). Was the smoothest I have ever had!
