my first suggestion would be the windscreen well bolt /nut things .

After near 400.000 kms ridden in my 4 FJs and thinking about spares support, I can´t see other than accessories, improvements, gizmos, add-ons, consumables... I have not ever have a mechanical problem

Don´t invest too much in mechanical spares, Randy. Your shop is excellent and your work fantastic. And now you have the things that go wrong (fork seals, ageing carbs, bearings...)

Wow Randy congratulations! This is very good news. I guessed this is what you were hinting about. So we will be able to email you Yamaha part numbers for purchase? Will you put link to Yamaha parts on your site? As far as what to stock, that's tough. For instance I need some rubber bushings for side panel receptacle and odd stuff like that. I don't know if there would be enough turn around for us to expect you to stock them.

A fuel gauge or two maybe. Those are always a problem. I ended up buying a new replacement for my bike.
I will keep stinking about it.

1) Yes, I am planning on putting in a lot of part numbers of hard to get, as well as expendable O.E. items.
2) No direct Yamaha link, but as parts are added you will be able to search by website via Yamaha part number. So you can see if I have it prior to emailing me.
3) Those are already on order and should be here next week and will be a regular stocking item.
4) Great suggestion, I have already requested price & availability.

Guys, this is the stuff I need to hear from you; what you need the most. I have already placed the first couple of orders and there are a ton of part numbers on the way.

I will start putting them up and advising here about new things I am adding. I ordered suspension & brake parts, throttle cables, fairing & trim pieces to name just a few.

There will be a bunch of new parts next week.

If you have further suggestions/recommendations I would like to have them.

I ordered a new clutch slave cyl, not just the rebuild kit, the enire assembly for my FJ.  It was not a huge amount (~$120).  It was shiny and new, and my piston was a mess, so while I *may* have been able to clean it up, it sure was nice to swap in the new one.  Fo rth eover achievers getting both the kit and the new assembly gets the user back on the road quickly, with a new shiny slave, plus they can rebuild their old one and have it ready for the next time it fails.

You may want to have one or two of these lying around, then again, I may be fairly alone on this, not sure... FWIW.

I have had new slave cylinders listed on the website since the first day, but have been out of stock for months due to the Japan earthquake & shipping issues stemming from last year.

I have them in both black & silver and they are scheduled to be back in stock next Monday (possibly sooner), The best part is they are much cheaper than what you listed.

I'm sure this will come as a shock to you Dan, but I always keep 1 new slave cylinder and at least 3 all cleaned, polished, and waiting to drop in a seal kit.    :-)
