Holly crap, this is scary.

What's perhaps MORE scary is some of the comments after the fact...  One idoit actually suggests sanding the corners!!

Road rage: Pickup truck vs. an R6, not good.

the riders are local to me and I know that road well.

The truck driver crossed the double yellow 26 times! I'm glad I have my concealed carry permit. The forty six 147 grain +P+ 9mm slugs I would of run up his stupid ass are not enough.

Bill, I was thinking of you when I saw it was in Kentucky. Would be interesting to hear the outcome when the police arrived.

It would...

The rider filming chickened out and left the scene before the cops could arrive. He decided there was too much risk of his buddy getting a ticket for the illegal pass. (I know both of the riders)

It is however easy to whine on the internet than to do whats right and possibly face up to your actions. The only reason law enforcement is involved at all is the fact that several locals who saw the video when first posted contacted local law enforcement on their own.

On the roads shown in the video the locals are getting very frustrated and it was just a matter of time before something like this happened. These roads have always been popular for riding but the latest crowd of riders have zero respect for the locals and ride way more aggressively than they should (consider the source for a moment...). Law enforcement can do very little to help the locals  as the roads cross several county lines and by the time the officer can respond the riders are in the next county over. In the last 12 months there have been over 20 single bike accidents and 3 fatalities that I am aware of. There have also been over a dozen reported cases of cars being run off the road by oncoming motorcyclists.

If it were your neighborhood how would you feel?

Nothing justifies the actions of the truck driver, But I can understand his frustration.

Agreed. lived at mt nebo for a while and the locals there get the irrates with boy racers ripping through there all the time. i keep listening for the duelling banjoes.. the point where the rider says " we never crossed that yellow line".... how the hell did it all start then? i get annoyed with things like this.... the riders wernt saints and the pickup guy is a wanker.

I was waiting for the guy filming to make a pass and the pick up to go off the road trying to stop him.

The flame thrower was pointing the wrong way...Note to self, modify flame thrower to have switch for "Ass in the front" and "Ass hat in the rear".... Now the "Easy" button seems to work properly...

i used to ride that route every sunday.  i stopped more because of the idiots that were showing up on two wheels, rather than the idiots we were encountering on 4.  but after i stopped, i heard of the locals becoming more and more frustrated at the motorcyclists running through that route.  seems i recall one of the guys i used to ride with got stopped by a local with a baseball bat or something of the sort.  i just don't need that shite.  but again, i left because i didn't trust the guys that were showing up to ride that route...

KY 22 and not localriders. Very few of the old LR regulars do group rides these days. 11 is not far from there (about 15 miles) and runs from Maysville KY to Barboursville KY. I just rode a large part of 11 over the weekend while riding around the red river gorge area. I hit 22 as well but only as a fun connector early on a Saturday morning.
