Are you considering putting the 87 body work on the  late frame? Man if so you are opening a Major bag of worms. None of the  forward frame mounts line up.

You think you have problems with the fuel system and the nosy engine , Man you have just begun to fight.

Irish, listen to Kim.
Judging by your previous posts, it sounds like you have your hands full. Why not get the bike back together, work all the bugs out, put some miles on it, then after understanding what you have, tackle the frame project.

IOW save your money for things you're gonna need to fix the PO's past sins...

cause I don't have a title to the 87, kinda a big thing ha the 91 frame does. and I already ordered new frame mounts for the 91

the engine and everything will bolt up just fine on the 91 as long as I have 91 frame mounts. The whole front end including forks and handlebars and what not will bolt up just fine too

The only problem ive come across so far is that the Headlight mount is different, not expensive and the subframe and swing arm. The subframe just needs a little bending to it but not an issue, and the swing arm I'm just going to have to see if i can work with it.

it actually wasnt that hard, the big difference from the 87 and 91 was the frame moutns of coarse, also the foot rest are close but diffrent the swing arms are almost exactly the same, except for the center suppose, one is straight across(87) and the 91 has a slite curve, bolts up fine though, which mean my rear wheel, brakes and everything for rear end work perfectly. rear shock a little differnt but still worked. The front end, forks, tri clamp and steering bolted right up. the head light mount is different. wiring works all the same. same gas tank. The frames are pretty much exactly the same except for the engine mounts, and the fairing worked fine too.

Well just a followup post on how Irishluck did on his '91 frame swap. Looks nice and clean (uuuh, except it's not a '91 frame)
