Hello Folks. Here is whats happing at the moment. Last night the MRI and MRA did show evidence that I had a stroke. I am having a very hard time speaking at the moment. It is dificult for me to figured the right words what what I am trying to say.

I was able to come home this afternoon with just some drugs to lower by cholesterol. The speech theripist said I should be able to speak normaly in a 4-6 months or so. It will be a long journey to being better again, but I will work as hard as I can to be as well again.

Thank you all your support. I will be needing it....

Thanks again,,,,, Eric M

Hey Eric, it is good to see that you can use a keyboard.
If you entered your post by yourself, this is a very good sign. The ability for your brain to compose a message, then figure out which keys to push to communicate your message, and your hand to eye coordination to get this done, is most encouraging.

Best wishes and good thoughts are coming your way from Palm Desert.....

Pat, Thanks for the wishes...
The funny thing is it only took me an hour to write it...

Seriously Eric.

Welcome back, glad you're still cogent and with us.  Given the fact that you're home and posting again, it necessarily means it could have been MUCH worse.  Considering yourself fortunate just about now would likely go a long way towards the positive mental attitude that will help speed your recovery.

Welcome back!

Dan
Live hardy, or go home.

Holy Crow!  Eric, this is quite a shock (I can only imagine your reaction).  Take it easy, listen to the docs and your therapists.  Holler if you need anything, at all.

Speedy recovery!

Great to see you back already Eric.   :greeting:

Get well, brother.

As far as I'm concerned, you're a core member of this group, and one of my best friends. You, Calvin, Frank, Carey, Herny, Dean, Randy, Big Tim, countless others...it keeps me goin'. Non-riding days around the picnic table and the Rally Fire, just BS'n the afternoon away...not to be missed.

Be good. Be careful. Be Derek Magellan.

Sorry if I left anyone out. You all mean a hell of a lot to me.

Dean's spill got slightly eclipsed by Eric's stroke. The over-achiever bastiche.

I've been a member here since around 2004, and a Rally attendee since 2006, as well as I can recall and photo evidence would indicate. I've never met a more pleasant, accepting, and helpful group of people. It's been a God-Damned delight, and I hope it continues.

Eric: You know we're behind you. Breath deeply, move slowly, and GET FRIKKIN' WELL, BROTHER!!! I don't want to spend future Rallys sitting around a picnic table in Boone trying to figure out how to modify something from The Scooter Store.

Although 1200cc's down the produce aisle could be pretty cool...
