I finally got her done today! If you only knew the mad scramble that ensued over the past couple weeks to get it to this point. :shout:

Mods include:
FZR1000 front and rear wheels.
R1 front calipers.
FJR1300 Master cylinders.
Galfer Stainless steel braided lines all around.
R1 Mirrors.
Racetech Cartridge emulators.
Givi Wingrack2 with luggage.
Kerker 4-into-1 full exhaust.

All work was done by myself, except for some machining to the cushdrive, spacer collar, and caliper bracket (I had a local machine shop help with that bit. he only charged me $75)

Nice job.  Looks great.  I especially like the gold dots and wheels.
Now remember - Shiny side up!

If it's not broken, fix it anyways

Nice job Alan--It doesn't look like a 20 year old bike!  Have fun.

Very nice!  Like the updates that you've done.

One easy question (I hope).  Where did you get the fork tube protectors you have?  I'd like to get a set.
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

They look like Triumph Trophy bits to me.

Wow! Very nice!

I've just installed some of the same mods, including the R1 brakes, Wingrack and V46. I'm curious what year R1 mirrors you used, what had to be done to make them fit, and what you think of them. I installed the CBR mirrors and am not that thrilled with them.

Also, what do you think of the side cases? The V46 seems too big to buy another and use them as side cases, so I'm looking for something like what you did.

Again, very nice and tasteful.

Nice! I like the wheel/tire combo and the color.

Oh Man- it's bootiful! I love the black and gold. Now go get it dirty with the miles you've earned with all that hard work!

Man is that thing sweet. Just got my '89 on the road last week with YZF600 wheels and forks with fz1 front brakes. Love the R1 mirrors. Hope mine looks that good after all is done. Thanks for the inspiration.
