We are ready!

Cental Coast NSW 3-5 March 2023 Book Now

The Central Coast Rally is ready to go. We have an exciting loop all organised and ready to showcase the wonderful central Coast and lower part of the Hunter Valley.
The main accommodation is:
Cumberland motor Inn: Phone - 4990 6633, 57-61 Cumberland St Cessnock
and has a whopping 29 rooms
Room rates as follows:
Deluxe Queen Room (10 rooms) - $125 per night
Deluxe Twin Room (10 rooms) - $130 per night
Family room (9 rooms) – $145 per night.
Please call the number above and book with Mannan and quote FJ Rally. The Hunter Valley is wine country and accommodation books out quite quickly. They will hold the rooms for 2 weeks, so don't hesitate, get in quick and book your room.
NSW Stay Vouchers can be used as a deposit and Credit card details need to be provided with a small (refundable) deposit to secure your room as this is a highly sort after area.
Other accommodation is Peden's Hotel next door – 4990 1014 – this is limited pub accommodation with shared bathroom facilities
or there is the Hunter Valley Motel 4990 1722, 30 Allandale Rd, Cessnock.
Room rates as follows are for 3 nights – you can book for more or less nights
Queen room: $120 per night, twin room: $150 per night, triple room: $175 per night
I cannot stress enough, get in and book early, this area is the gateway to the Hunter Valley and books out fast, especially this time of year. They have given us good prices and a motel with this many rooms is hard to find. They also have a pool for those wanting to cool there heels after a great ride.
Rally shirts are a progress in the making – will keep you all posted.
Saturday night venue – will also keep you posted.
David, Myself, Darrel and Paula would like to welcome you to our neck of the woods and are looking forward to showing you around another beautiful part of our great country.
Cheers Janet

Bring your locks...I've heard apparently that Cessnock is bike theft Capitol of Australia.

It seems the covid era has dampened interest in rallys. Here in the states the west coast rally has only had four people express any interest (or ability) to attend .

Unfortunately Al, the FJ Owners Forum based Rally has been hijacked by the facebook gang and therefore not much activity
is mentioned on the Forum any more. I, personally think this is a great shame.

Pete is right, FB has certainly overtaken the FJ discussion in Oz.

The rally this year was organised by riders who've never been a member, or participated in the FJ Owners Forum, only FB. Nice people, but a shame they don't participate. Many of the FJ myths that have been resolved here are still strong on FB, plus I think they talk oil, tyres and helmets a lot  :sarcastic:. I have noted the FJ Owners Forum mentioned quite a bit, as well as RPM on FB, so that's a plus.

I'm heading to the rally with Pete and the gang via Bathurst and East Gresford (will those roads be better or worse  :wacko2:).

Absolutely Pete, Great Shame and I think "hijacked" is putting it very mildly (not your usual tone).
Maybe next year we can get Our Rally back on track here !
At least Troy cut and pasted up that there was to be a rally ... bit better than the thieves organisers of our rally have done...

That was my best attempt at being diplomatic about the facebook invasion of our (FJ Owners Forum) Rally. There may be a discussion or two
about this very subject during the Rally. I'll do my best to discuss this subject calmly and rationally but no promises!  :bomb:
P.S agree with the Troyster comments.

He he he.

I think we can safely say there might be two rallies in the future, and why not? Two is better than one, and we can choose a place better than Cesspoolnock. Nearby is East Gresford. Roads are shit but the venue is superb!

 :morning2: on the road.

Meeting the mob on Goulburn around midday, Bathurst is the target for tonight.

East Gresford tomorrow and Cesspoolnock Saturday.

The roads aren't looking good. Still a lot of damage from the floods etc. that will make for a cruisy ride rather than sporty

Top day on the blacktop.

The roads are in better nick than I expected.

A super twisty mix with some great high speed and scary roadworks  :pardon:

Made it to Bathurst, and the obligatory run around Mt Panorama
