The standards of modesty differ form country to country. I think the USA is a bit behind on what the public can/should see. But pulling the wool off too soon would be a shock to the culture norms. So the big question still remains....

How much of the naked clutch can we show before it turns into FJporn?

When grease nipples are pixellated? :rofl2:

I literally just googled to see if the terms "male" and "female" are used in the USA to describe fittings (because my post would be deleted if they didn't) and found some very funny but completely serious content explaining the obvious origins of the terminology, haha, one guy even apologises in advance for the crude reference.

Noel, I do not believe your recent post was deleted by any of the admin. When a post is reported it is to be addressed, it is discussed prior to removal.

I have inquired with all the admin and waiting for their response, but they know the procedure.

If it was removed, I will let you know. But of it wasn't, then something on your end occurred.

Now, hopefully Mick was able to get the assistance he originally requested before you steered the topic elsewhere.

Noel,

Just a quick follow-up. Your post was not edited or deleted.

As a reminder to all, if there ever is a post deleted or edited, the person who made the post is advised via PM of the reason of the administrative change(s).

Thanks for the update Randy but I'm long past worrying about how or why. Given the extent of fiddling with my posts over the last couple of years, this is insignificant.

My final word on the subject was to suggest that from his description and sequence of events, the seal was the most likely culprit and encouraged him to think the process through for himself. Advice Pat then repeated and I think perhaps even you did the same. Good teamwork. Sound advice endorsed by two of the forums technical experts and uncluttered by too many replies, textbook assistance, perfect.

If only it had been left at that.

It was Pats following smart arse comment that "steered the topic elsewhere," not me, but it was fortunately after Mick had been given his advice, so there was no overlap or contamination of the information. I think you have confused me with Pat, (he's the one with the hair  )

I don't mind copping a bit of flak from time to time but I'm not going to be someone else's whipping boy.
