Everyone knows it's the 84. It was all downhill from there.

So, is the 85mm bore 1447cc version the "Alaska" mod then?!

I don't agree with this, not at all!

I am a proud left leaning FJ motorcyclist....but then I come up on a right banking curve and now I'm on the hard right!!!!

Thank you Randy. Good call. Even though I never stepped into the shit sandwich of politics here, I'm glad to see the topic gone. I started to be concerned about how I really felt about some of the people I considered friends, based on their political views and comments. It's far to divisive to let run a muck.

After all, we all know the 91 pink stripe is the best year, hands down!!!!

...... The best FJ??

With all of the years of the FJ's, What are the differences??...... without mods.

.... horsepower
.... torque
.... brakes
.... weight
.... gas mileage
.... known for handling
.... best in the wind tunnel     (less drag)
.... others??
                    is there a best year??

For me, it was the near-perfect wind tunnel of the '92. I immediately fell in love with the beast because of that.

Also, vibration. Finally freeing up those 15-year-old rubber mounts (ugh) was quite gratifying.

My 90 FJ12 is a great bike, better than my 84 FJ11. But, I enjoy riding the 11 more than the 12, it just seems to have a greater "fun" factor.

The 84 clicks the most boxes. Other? How about king of the dragstrip for 1984. However I think the pink striper is the prettiest. Followed by that dark blue with the gold stripes. I do like the blue of my 93 though and I always wanted one of the pearl white and silver ones. There are just too many choices and if I was a rich man I would have one of every color.
