At the current interest level Hot Foot is interested and I will send them my part this week. I will post more updates when I can.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Update...

Hot foot has sent my slider to a sub-contractor that repairs the cosmetics of my used/worn slider. This repair restores it to a condition that is then copied for reproduction. Nobody wants a new item to have wear marks out of the box. I will follow up in a month or so as this process may take 2 months. So stay tuned if you want, I will update when I know more.

How many of these are being made?  I certainly want to get one when available.

I will get more details when they get my part back and start the reverse engineering process on it.

This is great news. I didn't get to vote, but I would be very interested in these.

Any updates on a time frame when they will be available?

Mine is starting to fall apart now, cracks have been there for awhile but now bits are falling off.

Cheers

Thanks Mate, after further inspection mine Is cactus,  :negative:
I don't need to take any screws out the remove it, I think its the splatter from chain lube holding it there  :nea:
Might have to stick it down with double sided tape

Does the swing arm have to be removed to install this slider?  Just wondering should these things ever become available.

If they make it the same - then I think NO (I think monkey sent them older style slider that is open on the front). Although it is a lot easier to do it if you remove it (and grease the bearings in the process).
There was a newer style slider that is closed at the front and removal is necessary.

Just trying to find a replacement for mine and came across, http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=9147.msg159887#msg159887

Does the 89-93 work properly, does it cover the drop down part for the bolt that holds Linkage arm?

Cheers Alan
