RIP Eric Mcclellan.  Prayers and Condolences for the family.

I hate reading these threads!  :ireful:
I'm sure Eric was a great FJer, husband & father, surely taken too soon.  I never had the pleasure of meeting him. With all the kind words written by those that knew him well, I feel like I missed out!

My condolences to his family and all those that will miss him.

Awwww, man.....

Eric and Calvin were the first FJers I met in person, July 1998.

I was always glad to see each of them (and all the rest of you who I've gotten to ride with) at our rides, and it always did me good to know that he and a bunch of you guys would get together and hang out / dirt-ride together; he was part of what made this such a great community that I was compelled to bring friends and family to meet you all.

He is missed.

Damn.

Bugger!!!!

Eric was a big help to me (along with Frank) when I joined the Yahoo group all those years ago (10 I think).

Shocked to hear this.

I'm now sad!    :shok:

Holy shit...........shocked andsaddened.  After going through allnhe went through.

Eric was part of the core group I met at my first Boone Rally  in 2000. Part ofthe reason I kept coming back.

I wish I could say I knew Eric well, but this tragic news still saddens my heart. God bless his family and to watch over them in their time of need. RIP Eric

This is very sad news to hear...tragic.
My sincere condolences to Eric's family and friends. I know a few of you here were very close to Eric.
I never met Eric personally, but we did exchange emails and parts over the years. One of the original FJer's from the Yahoo days....learned a lot from him....

I talker to Eric's wife to day ,she told me there will be a celebration of life on saturday 12/5/15 at Blileys funeral home from 2:00-4:00 pm. in Richmond va.

I have known Eric since 1996,we rode together before we had FJ's ,we worked together at the same place until I retired in 2002.
We camped together, rode together, worked together,we shared our thoughts with each other and we had ALOT OF FUN.
He went with me to the blueridge mountains last week end to help me winterize my place,we rode to the top of the mountain to a place where He,Frank and myself went to a lot and enjoyed laying in the grass and feel the wind blow it was a place we loved to be.
Eric told me he liked the place so much that when died he wanted his ashes to be spred there.
I considered him to be my best friend and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

Rest in peace Eric my friend.

Thanks, guys. I had been keeping an eye on news from that area, but I couldn't find anything definitive.

I didn't know Eric but news of his passing has really touched me. He is obviously held in high regard by everyone who knew him, and this would make his premature passing that much harder to accept and make sense of. Life can be great, but can also be so cruel.

My sincere condolences go out to his family and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
