The trip up from Kansas was uneventful, flat and except for a few scenic spots, not very noteworthy.

As we got closer to the town of Custer, we came across some Buffalo near the road.



The first days ride took us up to The Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

Needles Highway is a destination Road. Not so much for high speed riding, but for the breath taking scenery and single lane bridges. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday the road was closed at both ends. While Hill City was flooding, we found a back way up and road the majority of the road. Even in the rain, we were not disappointed.

Needles highway. Like Fred said not a fast ride because of all the slow, tight curves but very scenic. Has several stone tunnels and a couple of wooden bridges. Would have been more enjoyable without the rain. Big thanks to Dan(Giantkiller) for the loan of his rain liner that kept me warm and dry. The day had started out sunny so I stupidly left all my rain gear behind. Lucky for me Dan came prepared.  Dave

Just finished a great lunch in Hill City with Capt'n Ron, Mike Ramos, Alan, George!


Funny thing as we were getting ready to go, someone came up to us and asked if our FJs were rentals.
I guess they had never seen so many FJs in one place!
