Wow , wow, wow. That scenery is spectacular, and that was some very heavy rain looking at the drop splashes. Looks like a top time had by all, ( oh and the bikes looked A1! )

Iron Mountion Road with the Pigtail Bridges

The tunnels are ALL single lane. Sound your horn when entering to warn cagers coming in from the opposite direction that you are there.

Jason, Fred, Dave and Dan.

My friend Jason did very well on his FJR. This is the first time he has ridden twisty roads on a sport tourer. His main ride is a Yamaha Raider S.

On the way to the rally we found this and was waiting for Frank to pop his head out and ask for directions to the rally. :).

My one and only video of the rally.
This was on our first trip coming back on the Deerfield road.

Stuck around the area a little longer after the official close of the Rally. Took advantage of the dry conditions to re-run some of the roads, or to see them for the first time.

Should of took some of the Needles Highway, which was awesome, but I was having too good of a time to stop and snap some. Next time.  :good2:

a buffalo, that wandered off of the grass hills to get a close-up (as close as I wanted to be to it) somewheres in Wind Cave State Park:

Rode my bike up a mile long dirt rode to the top of Coolidge Mountain. At 6,023 feet, it is the highest peak peak in Custer State Park. Nice views of the surrounding terrain:

Lastly, a pic of Andy with his home country's flag in the background, decorating the cabin:

SSN666 - Devil's boat...  actually USS Hawkbill's sail in Idaho somewhere.  Cool pic and post George.

Here's my old sail in Bremerton...  USS Parche (SSN683).  Anyone interested in why we had so many unit commendations can check out Parche in "Blind Man's Bluff", a book about the "black navy" tasked with spying on USSR during the Cold War...

666 was last reported in Arco, Idaho :)...  I read "Blind Man's Bluff" a few years ago.  A good book.  A lot go's on in the world that no one is aware of. Unsung hero's. Hats off to you and the crew Frank.  :hi:

Adding my Rally pictures.
I probably have a bunch of the same pictures that everyone else took.  :pardon:

Stocked up on some grub and beverages to bring, so that the first evening I could just unload gear and start grilling.

And some for the road (manifold destiny)

All loaded and ready to hit the road!

6 hours later, drove through Custer, and arrived at the Rafter-J.

Next Morning. YUP! This is how we do breakfast  :nyam2:

After a blast down Deerfield Rd. we stopped for pictures at Deerfield lake.

Then back into town for lunch at Hill City Cafe.

An interesting conversation ensued after lunch, when a passerby asked us if the bikes were "Rentals"

Wednesday's ride included at stop at Stockade Lake and Dam.

Garth, Donna, and CapnRon.

One of the highlights of the evening's activities, was getting to sample some of George's "Apple Pie".  :nyam2:

Thursday we rode through the wildlife part of Custer State park.
The only animals near enough to the road were some Donkeys.

It was pretty-much raining the rest of the day Thursday, so we decided to go "Wine Tasting" with Derek as our DD.

I went "Beer Tasting"

"Mornin Woody!"

I contemplated buying this.

"Greetings"
This should be hung up in front of "AL's Bar and Grill"

While we were "Wine Tasting", I bought this on a dare.......................Was told that the only person who can handle it is a 55yr old woman.
So I decided to "Woman-Up"
It was pretty darn hot, but I've eaten hotter stuff.

We decided to venture down a dirt-road to find some firewood.
After all the rain they've had, it wasn't so much as "Dirt" anymore.

"Night Train"
