Mate, just a thought, but is the rack the kegs will sit on strong enough for two full kegs?

I am guessing that rack has a tempered glass bottom, the one in my cooler is holding a 15 Gal keg plus others stuff we don't keep in the house. Since tempered glass against metal is bad in my book. I put some thin plywood in between.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Actually, I already thought of that.

The "Shelf" is actually part of the "Evaporator" loop.
It's made of steel tubing, with a grid of steel wire sonically welded to it.
I am sure it is strong enough to hold the kegs, however it is attached to the back wall with 2 little plastic clips, and at the front by the white, steel, c-channel bar, (which is attached by 2 plastic clips to the side walls).

I am not confident that those 4 plastic clips can support the weight of 2 or 3 full 5-gallon kegs.

My plan is to either make some extra supports to hold up the cooling grid "shelf", or to make a shelf just above it, out of some sort of heavy wire rack.  :mail1:

I am hoping to have 2 kegs chilling in there by the end of next week.  :drinks:

I am waiting on my gas line, and I need to score a couple more fittings...........Then the kegs.

It has almost been a month without an update, what was your final selection?

Sorry, the project kinda got put on hold for a few weeks.
My FJ developed the shifter issue, then I had some other projects to work on, and now I'm in Rally Prep mode.

Stay tuned for after the Black Hills Rally.  :drinks:
