Hey fellow riders!

How about an FJ clinic and ride in Eastern Ontario?  I live just outside Napanee, and have a garage, tools, pop up tents if needed, a BBQ, and decent roads north of here.  If I'm right, the fall colours should be bright about that time, in the Westport - Calabogie and hwy 28 areas..... and heading west to the Muskokas ...

Napanee is 1.5 hours from Ottawa, 2hrs from the GTA, 3hrs from Montreal, 2.5hrs from Syracuse, NY....(they all may take longer by car :bad:
So, this could be a central meeting place for eastern Ont.... we could have a clinic in the morning and shoot for a noon -1pm start for the ride (clinic theme to be determined).

There has been alot of talk over the last few years of a ride through that area.... We should plan one.  :good2:

Sounds good herr Wagar. I will be there as long as it doesn't interfere with my father son four wheeler weekend. I go every year, third weekend of September.
If I do go then we can ride up together Rich.

Yup. I'm up for a ride out from there. Mostly what I'd call sweeper territory from my experience. And very scenic. Just time it around the family guys. I should be open any weekend.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

Excellent!!!

It will be great to see everyone and throw some wrenches, and hopefully see some new faces, too.

If I have mine on the road by then, it would be nice to meet some fellow FJ owners.

Welcome Bidou.   :hi:  Where are you from?  If you need help with the tricks and secrets of the FJ you have come to the right place...

September is still a wayze off yet, so there's a good chance you can make it.....  :good2:

A couple weeks ago I went for a ride on some possible roads for the route... should be good...
some of them are freshly paved and the rest are in pretty good shape!

I thought Westport, Ontario might be a good starting point... we could ride road #36 north to Mayberly across #7... then over to #511, via #12, and go north to Calabogie.  From Calabogie we could head west over to hwy #41, then south to #28, and then west to Bancroft.  That would take approx. 4 hours of riding plus stops... We could continue the ride over to the muskokas as well...
With that route we are getting in the Lanark, Addington, and Muskoka Highlands. Pretty good riding :good:.

So far the roads to Calabogie are great... and I hope to ride the remaining roads before September....
The ride from Napanee to Westport will be decent too.  We would head north east to hwy 38, then north on 38 to Godfrey.  Westport Rd from Godfrey is a good road ...

Not all riders may be able to complete the entire ride, but anyone can join in at planned stops if they like.  Whatdyathink guys?  I'll try to get a map up here...
