I just picked up an FJ600 for $300.

It doesn't run, but turns over. Seller says no spark, what that actually means is anybody's guess.

Bodywise, it's pretty decent, fairing in place, with a couple of loose tabs I can fix pretty easy. No rust. Seat is ripped, but that doesn't seem like a big deal.

Pictures forthcoming.

An FJ600 for three bills?  I would have popped for that just for the learning experience!  Definitely want to see pictures of this project!

Good looking FJ especially for the price. Is that an xs650 between the FJ's?  Dave
A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

No, it's the smaller sibling, an XS400.

Congrats on the 600. I couldn't have passed it up at twice the price.

Dude, that's awesome!  My friends FJ600 was the first road bike I ever piloted solo (guess I was 13ish).  Good memories, thanks!

Oh Dear Lord!  :shok:

OK JP, repeat after me: "Yes, Yes I did.... And I liked it, and feel good about it."  Now repeat that 5 more times and go ride.   :good:

$300? At that price n condition I'd have snatched it up. Clean it up. If it doesn't run, make a coffee table out of it. Have you priced a good coffee table lately?

Now, the question is, do I put some gas in and try to start, or do I just pull the carbs off on general principle?

I reckon you have some sparks to find first. Then a gas tank to clean most likely.

300 bucks ????? !!! with a clean title I hope.

I'd love to have that one to keep my 12 company in the garage.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.

$.50 / cc is a very respectable ratio for any bike!  Well played.

Should have a box of 'em somewhere...

It actually looks pretty decent. A little bit of spotting, nothing major.

Well, that's a funny story...

Guy sold it to me without a title. And then last night texted me to say he found it.  :yahoo:

My other project bike is a 550 I got for $200. In far worse shape, though.
