RPM is in the news again

Nice!

Did he end up going with the passive aero?  Or active?  Don't know if active is allowed in that racing class?

Thanks for the link Robert.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Pat Conlon

Yep, keeping things normally aspirated is the key to happiness and longevity at the track. I can't tell you how many turbo Miata's I've seen leaving their track events early with disappointed owners.

Cool beans Ryan!

Active aero is not permitted in the class we ended up in.

Robert is off for a couple of weeks for another special RPM delivery.

Rexford Alan Raduechel was welcomed into the world on Tuesday.

Everyone is healthy and happy.

Congats, little bit late. When I first saw this my thought was Randy would do anything for cheaper labour in the workshop. I can see it now, "Rexford you are five yours old its time for you to start working" " but I'm only five years old" "So, we'll just lie about your age"
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.
My Second permanent bike 1978 Z1R (owned since Dec 1977)
My Third permanent bike is the 89 FJ12 - nice and fast
Forth bike 89 FJ12 my totally standard workhorse
81 GPZ1100 hybrid - what a bike, built to sell but I can't part with it

Thank you!

We have got Rusty on work duty already. Here he is with his first big block at a handful of months old.  Rex has a couple of months left before we put him in "the pit"

Little family and racing update.

Racing: pop had an accident in June the week after Rex was born. He had an accident in my car and broke his shoulder blade and separated a few ribs. We were planning on building 2 cars for the nationals and running mine as the third in the hopes of finishing 1-2-3.

We ended up building two complete cars and repairing mine after pops accident.

We went on to run 1-2-3 all weekend long until Sunday when the rain came. We started 1-2-3 but didn't end that way. Pop got a flat rr tire, and I broke a rr shock and we both took a dnf. Ryan went o to start from pole on slicks in the rain and during the 45 minute race fell back to 3rd against the rain tires. However, the track dried out with a few laps left and Ryan had done just enough to hang on to the back of the rain tires and run them down at the tune of around 7 seconds a lap. Here's a videos of Ryan and I in the qualifying race Saturday. It got shortened for a bunch of cautions from the other class we were running with.

Rexford at the track at 2 months trying to catch a nap and Russell in grandpas car and my car trying to drive. Russell
On a bike for the first time, and Russell and Rex with grandpa reading a book.

Wow... you step away for two seconds and *boom*, there's another generation comin up!

Congratulations Robert! Outstanding sequence with the two boys first, and a little princess can't be too far away.

Miss you guys.

PS - Sorry to hear about Randy's injury. I had a recent shoulder surgery for a rotator cuff and biceps tendon repair. no fun at all. Get well soon.

Thank you very much.  Good thing grandpa owns a bakery or Rusty would have eaten us out of house and home already. I can't believe how much an almost 2 year old eats, alllllll dayyyyy long.

In all seriousness, Jamie wants to go back to school soon and get her FNP so I think we are a two and done. We will leave the girls for Ryan.

Sorry to hear about your surgery. Pop healed up fine and quickly you saw him putting in some work at the nationals. He had is hands in his pockets during the interview because of the shoulder injury. He actually wheeled it up to the lead in the rain before getting the puncture.

As we close out the year, I hope everyone has been surviving without much issue. I wanted to post this up to give everyone a chance to get some of the FJ parts they need before the prices go up in the new year.

Due to the high cost of everything that we have all experienced over the past couple of years, I am unable to continue to hold the prices. I have not raised too many prices since 2019. I hoped the economy would have turned around, but it hasn't and changes must be made.

If you have an notion to get some parts, the next two weeks is the time before the prices go up.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Enjoy your FJ and we'll continue to be here to support each and everyone of you.
