This might be a bit weird posting something like this on a forum of bikes and what not... But the last two weeks I have not sh*t and now I'm starting to feel nauseous... I almost past out last night riding home from work.... I would think the vib from my bike would keep me regular... Not working...i think my intestinal track is trying to shut down.... I don't want to go to the doc if I don't have to... Is there any thing I can do.... This is serious... Please help if possible... :sorry:
Assuming you are indeed serious, why the hell would you wait two weeks? This is getting into dangerous territory, that kind of thing can kill you.
I'd say, eat a couple of boxes of prunes, but I'm not sure after two weeks that would be enough. You can try that, and/or some over the counter laxative. There is this disgusting liquid stuff, magnesium citrate, usually works pretty well. If a bottle of that doesn't fix you in an hour or so, you might be ER material.

I have heard of that mag. Citrate stuff... Does it really work and where can I find it?

Worked every time I tried it. Any pharmacy should have it.

+1 on the mag citrate. Work from both ends. Use a couple of stool softener suppositories.
If this does not work within a couple of hours, get to a doctor ASAP.
2 weeks is entirely too long. You are at a high risk of sepsis. DO NOT fuck around with this condition.
There are a lot of reason you could be constipated. Lack of water, fluids is the first. If you are having pain see a MD, if there is any blood, go to the ER. We use walk in clinics around here, they're faster.. Try a OTC laxatives, Milk of Magnesium is a mild one. My family just drank beer, sometimes a lot of beer. Go on webmd.com.

.
Mike, why don't you want to go to the doctor? if it's money, is having a doctor bill worse than being dead?
If the stuff the guys are recommending here doesn't work tonight, GO TO THE DOCTOR!
GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!!!
On a side note, thank goodness for Universal Health Care! I feel sick, I go see my doctor. I feel really sick, I go to Emerg and don't think twice about whether I can afford it or not.
Did I mention that you should see your doctor right away?
Zwartie
No ER will turn away anyone needing treatment, money or no money. There are all sorts of ways to handle the bill even if you don't have insurance.
Not that any of this matters. If you haven't pinched a loaf by now, go to the ER tonight.
Thanks everyone for the help.... I have had some little success with enimas... And the mag citrate stuff... I'm hoping by tomorrow things will have cleard.... My usual meal at dinner time is burgers and sometimes hamburger helpers... Breakfast is usually cereal... I have heard that coffee works... Gonna try that out...thanks for info everyone.. I will let u all know what happens tomorrow... Felt like I was about to die there for a min...
Do you mean you've been trying enemas and magnesium citrate over the past two weeks?
If they're not working, go to the doctor now.
Eat prunes for dessert. I'm serious about this. Buy boxes of prunes, and whatever sweets you eat, eat prunes instead. I do this at first sign of that sort of trouble. There is a chance you overdo it, but blowing up the bowl for a bit is far preferable to getting poisoned with your own body's waste.
Do you really want your obituary to read "killed by his own bowels"?

Under some conditions an extremely active immune system can be a detriment.
And you should be scared. Seriously, 2 weeks of your body not functioning properly is way too long, unless you are a soldier on deployment living on MRE's.
If that balloon of shit pops or leeks into your system (and it will eventually go somewhere) you will have real problems.. You immune system might help then but it will not fix it. :good2:
George
I use Epsom Salt. I put a tablespoon in a large glass of water and magically a couple hours later I launch a shit ship. Works every time and doesn't leave me feeling depleted. :morning2:
The Epsom salt idea is from personal experience. It works good. You will KNOW when it is time to go and it will clean you out COMPLETELY, like dumping dirt out of a bucket. :yahoo:
fwiw ... if you ask a bunch of guys on a motorcycle forum for medical advice ... you probably shouldn't scold them for giving you their "professional opinion" ... I never go to the doctor. I never get sick. I know a lot about anatomy and physiology. If I hadn't pooped for two weeks I would go to the doctor.
Whatever you do, I hope it works and your system returns to normal. As others have said, 26 is too young to die or even be that uncomfortable. :bad:

I smell something here, you have a medical problem that, if not already serious, is about to be, you have concerns about your organs shutting down and you consult a motorbike forum for advice.
Do you take your bike to the ER at your local hospital if it won't start, consult a doctor if it's running on 3 cylinders, call an ambulance if it falls off the sidestand, call roadside assist if you have a heart attack......
"....I just didn't know where to start or what to do" aw c'mon, you don't know what doctors do?
If you're for real, you have my sympathy and I strongly suggest you go to a doctor ASAP as has been recommended by most but surely you're winding us up, this is just too weird.

Not sure, can't keep enough of it to tell, the wife and kids eat it all up before I get to it.
hey Mike, you're in the right age group. Do you eat dry ramen noodles as a snack? Your symptoms match with some patients that have been treated for that. The dry ramen expands when wet, and the situation is like feeding dry rice to pigeons.. Locks up the system. And if you eat a lot of cooked ramen, don't just go the 3 minutes like the container says. Give it another 4 or 5 minutes to fully soften and expand.. Hope that helps..
Prune ramen FTW!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, as I skipped ahead so as to be quick, but the very best thing of all, that I have found is "Slippery Elm Bark." It makes Metamucil look tame. The only problem with usage is that it is so good, that if used regularly it can actually stop one from getting any nutrients at all. It's both fiber and very slippery, actually sucking H2O from your intestines to aid in passing waste. It is expensive though. I got 1 pound of certified "organic" Slippery Elm Bark by Starwest Botanical's from Vitacost.com for $37.xx. It's now down to $28.xx. The stuff really works, and tastes, at least to me, much better than it's sour cousin Metamucil. I actually enjoy the woody flavor, as it's more like an exotic mushroom.
There is actually a condition that people can get as they age that reduces their natural sensing to drink plenty of fluids, especially water. I think I have it. It's important to ensure one gets plenty of H2O throughout the day. For me, at 255 lbs, I should get at least 128 fluid ounces, this is according to Livestrong.com, a very good resource that gets a lot of their info from the Mayo Clinic and other top notch sources.
Good Luck!
