Rev Limiter?

Ok, so I'm in the process of playing around with instruments and I've come to a question that I suppose someone on here has to have the answer. I've found the rev limiter on the FJ1100 which is built into the instrument cluster as a small circuit board just behind the fuel guage. But the FJ1200 cluster is different. Instead of the rev limiter it has the clock there. I've studied the circuit diagram of the FJ1200 and there is no seperate device indicated as the rev limiter. I'm thinking its built into the CDI?

you don't need to rev them to the limet use the torque  it has quite a bit

What is the rev limit?

I have run my 89 to 10,000 and have never had the limiter take effect.

10,200 is where i understand the limiter to be.

If we don't rev it that high, would it be possible to upgrade to a newer dash with the clock instead? or does anyone know if the parts will all work/fit?

Or maybe the newer dash with a clock isn't worth it unless your gauges are shot

I certainly don't need the rev limiter. I don't rev the snot out of it anyway. My guages are all worn out and I picked up a cluster from a FJ1100 with low miles and I'm retro-fitting the guages into my cluster. The only guage that just won't fit is the tach. My tach was fine but the needles are different. So I pulled the needles off the tachs and swaped them. Sounds easy but it was a PITA. Now they all match.
