My son in law recently purchased a 97 Suzuki 1100 bandit, he has put a couple thousand miles on it local. He was wanting to go for a road trip so we went. Not sure this is what he had in mine, but it worked for me. We left Indy took the interstate up to Lake Michigan, stopped to take in the sites (and his a$$ needed a break). Tooled around the back rounds around the shores of lake Michigan for a while stopped for lunch usual burger stuff. Took secondary highways across the northern part of Indiana then took secondary's all the way back to Indy. Round trip right at 400 miles. It was a good trip. I recently readjusted carbs and synched them afterwards, mileage was much improved. I have checked two tanks all round riding at 42 to 43 mpg, interstate riding at 70 to 75 mph I got 48 on one tank and 49 on the second tank. Checked plugs today they are a medium grey, think I'll leave them alone for a while.
While removing the fairing I noticed somewhere in the 400 miles I seemed to have lost the fuse box cover. I'll need to keep an eye on ebay for one. Meanwhile I'll make one from plastic?? Maybe have one made with "FJ" on the top? If anyone has a spare let me know.
