I was thinking on swapping to my new Master when I get Bracket from Mark.. it will be one less thing to do when I get all the parts for front end swap...will this be ok with my 86 set-up and will the electrical stuff work off FJ to R6

Sorry to tread hi-jack here lads, but is the R6 master cylinder regarded as better than the FJR master cylinder upgrade? Mine is a 92 non ABS FJ1200

Should both be 14mm so no difference between them.

Depends on the r6, the master I have is from one of the later models, and its a 16mm radial brembo, very easy squeezy  :biggrin:
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Not quite true.

The early FJRs were 14mm but the later models changed to a 15mm m/c.
I can't recall the year the change occurred, perhaps others will chime in...

Got to ask...I got SS lines already...am I going to have a tough time bleeding the air out without a pump...

No, you would be fine, although its slightly more time consuming. But if you bleed correctly it should not be an issue :smile:

I know the 05 FJR MC is a 15mm. And the brake switch it incorrect for the FJ wiring. At least in my experience.

I just finished installing an 05 FJR master on my 85' 1100 and it does make a big difference but be aware that with the stock calipers the lever will feel mushy. This is because the increased leverage at the master increases line pressure but the lever has to move further to do it. Simple physics when you think about it. It's better than stock but I'm looking for an improvement when I go to the FZR front wheel and install the FJR calipers. I just want to put this out there so nobody else pulls their hair out for 3 hours trying to błeed that last little bit of air out of the system like I did. Cheers.
