DON'T buy from 6 sigma for jets

This is just a warning to everyone not just on FJ jets but anything from 6 Sigma is just a bad idea. They have no idea what they are doing or talking about. I ordered jets from them on EBAY and it has turned out to be a huge nightmare. When I messaged them after I installed the jets and told them that my bike was flooding and wouldn't start now 2 days later they send me a reply asking how the bike is running at idle and wide open throttle whatnot so I replyed back and said like I said before the bike won't start its flooding with fuel and I even have fuel on my plugs. I waited about 4 days and still nothing so I sent them a message asking if they were going to be sending smaller jets and they send back a message about a hour later saying we were waiting to hear from you on how your bike was running on idle, midrange and full throttle to figure out what you need. I laughed to myself a little thinking I have told you twice now this isn't possible so just asked for a refund. They did refund me for the jets but when I asked if they could refund my $10 shipping to ship it back they told me no. I have been delayed about 4 weeks on my bike and now have more issues because of them. Randy at RPM now has my carbs and the instructions that Sigma gave me had me drill out the slides bigger so I did. I now have 4 slides that have to be repaired or replaced costing me over $100 more. I am trying to file a claim with EBay but I think its a long shot. Just a warning for everyone.

This is true but just in general for other bikes or whatever they are really bad. Randy and I talked on the phone and he was really helpfull and upfront about everything just unfortunatly a short coming or a money saving idea was just a bad idea.

Had my share of bad ideas....... suspect I will have a few more. Universally referred to as the "school of hard knocks"....  When it comes to carbs, remember they ran just fine right off the show room floor. Real fine....

IMO unless your engine is modified beyond the foam filters and exhaust there is not much to be gained by going to far off the stock set up. Newer laced fuels might be worth about a half step richer of jet size and filters/exhaust might be worth another half step.

Randy has in the past posted excellent advice about carb mod's and well worth reading. Do the home work before you go off to the "school of hard knocks".  :good2:

That said we are all (at least me), are not immune to magazine articles and "optimistic" to false advertising of products. One of the nice things about this forum is you can ask questions to a large pool of real time users for help and advice especially before you do permanent damage in a modification.

I am glad that Randy has got you on the road to getting fixed  :yahoo:  I think the last bad idea I had was not weighing in the 25mph speed limit sign in that corner...... :dash2:
