I bought some seals for my forks and they dont fit.
They are all balls and seals are all in sealed bags.Bags have a part # on them I will get #'s in the am.
What is the correct all balls # for the fork oil and dust seal's.

Its a 86 with 90 forks.

Same seals fit all years of FJs.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

The correct # for fork seals is the OEM Yamaha fork seals  3LC-23145-00-00

I believe that Randy (RPM) sells a kit with seals, bushes, and dust covers.

#22-56125 is on main package
35-1022 is on oil seals
36-1012 is on dust seals

When I look them up I get 39mm I.D.

Arnie is right. OEM Yamaha IS the right part #.  Do yourself a favor and send that other junk back.  Just sayin...

I already knew the yamaha part #
And typically I would buy OEM however I dont think Yamaha has a better oil seal than All Balls so I chose to get them instead.
All I was asking for was ALL Balls part #s so i could tell the seller he f##### up and give him the right #s.
Telling me that the right # is Yamahas # is just a waste of time.

My point here is that the i.d. is 39 mm it aint going to fit.
Anyone else wants to ride my ass for buying All Balls instead of Yamaha go right ahead.

Since you insist on buying inferior parts, the seals should be 41mm.

All Balls #55-117-586.

Save that Yamaha number for when you need it in a few weeks...   :pardon:

I have used them twice and have no problems.
I have contacted the seller to return them.
One fork was leaking on the 86.I had some old seals that i had replaced with all balls a couple of years back so I took an old used one and installed it and reassembled my forks.I took it for a short test ride last night about 11.00 pm and forks felt great.Dont know if there still leaking I need to go see.I will get more seals and do both forks again.Seal that came out did not look like any I had seen before it had no inner spring and was real soft.

Was the "all balls" significantly cheaper than the set that I sell?

The set I sell are the NOK brand seal which is what Yamaha supplies.

I did not check.
My  :wacko3: reason was that I am in transition again and looking for a new place to live.
So my bank info credit card info address etc needs updated.Did not feel like taking time to do it till I move.
I had this problem once at rpm which I updated and fixed.
Nothing personal.
