Thanks randy!

Leon

Leon, why did you go to eBay...

My feeling are hurt now.

No offence Randy.
I was trying to think where I bought the ones in my picture and they were off ebay.
I bought these prior to you having them listed on your site, if I remember correctly.
But now I seem to remember buying one from you to use in my spare rear wheel.

Sorry.

Leon

I was wondering what is coating the aluminum frame and swing arm, just can't seem to polish it up to a shine and is there
something that takes off that coating?

Jim

To answer you question about how to remove the coating on the swing arm, I actually started with a 24 grit wheel to remove the upper and lower ridge to simplify the polishing process.
I then moved to 80 grit on a DA sander to remove the rest of the finish and to smooth the welds.
Then on to 400 and 600 grit W&D paper.
Then the actual polishing process started with several different rouges and compounds until a mirror finish was achieved.
Finally finished it off by hand with Simichrome paste and a soft towel.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
