Took my 10 year old son for a long ride on the back roads yesterday.  Saw a fawn sitting at the side of the road that didn't move when we stopped to take a pic, a house crushed by a tree from the recent storms, tons of bikes, and had lunch at a cool waterfront joint.  On the way home, he fell asleep!  Looked back to see his head hanging back on the trunk and his eyes closed.  Shook him awake.  

Carey had warned me about kids falling asleep, so I was checking frequently.

Had a great fathers day. A couple of my children helped me lead worship at church. Wife cooked a nice brunch and then we went to the lake for a couple of hours. The kids got me a chimnia(?) which we had a fire in Sunday night. Played guitar and sang campfire songs. Could not fit a FJ ride in there anywhere.

AKA "The Great Northwest Rally"....my sons and Norm and I rode to Kalispel - Sandpoint - Castlegar and back to Calgary.  1600 plus Kms. from Friday to Sunday, no issues except a parking lot shifter fix (need that rivnut).

Lot's of great curvy roads, very little traffic.
