My 85  FJs rear shock i think needs to be adjusted ,,,, She is a  little stiff,, I am confussed on the settings !  :dash2:.. rebound,, damping..  number on the chain setting = damping ?  I see the cover to keep nut from slipping ,, I lift it up and turn away i hope? Thanks for the input     :flag_of_truce:

well the stock shock is adjustable to some extent.  crank it up for a load , the settings both change at the same time so the damping matches the preload.

The stock shock is weak sauce anyway .  :negative:

start saving your nickels and dimes now for the New Rpm shock .

Just so you know , YOU are not supposed to work on your FJ this close to a rally .  I believe there is a 1 week cut off.  :pardon:

Oh Shit!! I had the fairing off to deal with a failed HID, its all good now. But I broke the Tabu since its less than 1 week. No choice, not having a head lamp is also Tabu. However I may be paying the price, the well nuts fell apart  when I took the screen off, Randy is sending new ones, I hope they arrive in time...

FJMonkey you will be fine. Ordering from Randy, probably all ready in your mail box. Jimmy Johns commercials modeled after his service. Have a great rally.

If they don't, Ace Hardware usually carries them.

I've broken the taboo as well but mine was a fuel related problem, gees the gas here is crap, bloody ethanol gummed up half of the bank, only 2 carbs working properly, threw away the airbox, put on pods but its running as rough as guts.

Those are close to the Yamaha well nuts, but they so not have the large diameter flange. I tried the hardware store ones several years ago and they did not hold well.

Granted they will work in a pinch, but he should have the Yamaha ones tomorrow.

Yup, but they're better than none at all... obviously, yours are the better way to go if they are on hand.

I have a back up set but they are the same as the ones that fell apart, single use items. Since I need to remove the screen to add fluid to the masters I prefer to have the proper parts that last. Either way I my screen will go on today and be ready to get Kookaloo on and join the WCR.
