i checked the "level window" with the original cooler while running and the found this one needs an extra 1/2 quart to match the level

I'm not sure that we would need them with the larger cooler, but I was thinking of adding a pair of 4" 12v fans, like computer fans to force extra air through the cooler when the temp goes up outside, or in stop and go city traffic

Water resistant hopefully? I'd make sure if I was you. Go to a wrecking yard and pry a good one off a Honda that's gonna be a bit tougher, larger, and water-resistant. i.e. made for a vehicle.

That is true, I wonder how the size and thickness of those, or maybe they have one of the thin electric ones the street rodders use, but I know those are pricey.

Maybe some small aluminum "wings" on each end of the cooler to scoop a little more air through there.

But for stop and go I'd rather have a fan

I was just killing time from surgery and ran across this.  My question is can the hoses be connected to the top of the cooler?  I was thinking that it would make it easier to check the oil level between changes.  Pat I know you are working on a cooler, how are you doing?  Jim
