gday, tonight i discovered the clutch switch , only because the 2 wires that connect to it were disconnected and i just accidently stumbled onto them, is it purely a safety feature wired to the side stand or am i on the wrong track?whats its purpose? this fj of mine is the most modernest bike ive ever had and its just got wires and stuff all over, regards ken..

Its a safety feature when it works, engine isn't supposed to start in gear, unless the clutch is pulled in
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

When I saw this feature on my 84, I didn't think it would serve me much, as the astute man I think I am.  But I have been proven wrong several times already in the last year.
