Horn driving me crazy

Finished my YZF600 front end swap on my 1985 1100 and was checking everything out, and my horn didn't work.(worked before)
I found out that if I turn the bars slightly to the right the horn will work. I have pulled on all the wiring while pressing the horn to see if I
can find the offending wire. No luck. I set the fairing in place to see if not having all the plugs connected would make a difference
and still the same outcome. I did find that I have two extra wires  at the headlight plug that are not used, and I can't find any wires not plugged
in. One is blue with red or pink. the other is two black together. Both have female bullet ends. I don't remember if I unplugged these two wires
when I took the faring off, or are they just not used. Don't know if it has any
correlation to the horn. Anyone have a suggested? I added a of pictures of the extra wires.

Thanks, John K

G'day John, on my '85 those two wires next to the headlight plug, connect to the parking light bulb inside the headlight. In the US, I think you call it a running light. Sounds like the horn switch may not be grounding properly. The horn has positive power connected and relies on the horn switch to ground the circuit.   Pete.

I went out and looked and didn't find any extra plugs on the cluster or at the turn signals.

I was just re-working the headlight wiring on my '85 last night.  I also have those 2 female bullet connectors hanging off of the headlight plug harness.  They're not connected to anything.

Thanks! That solves one mystery. Now to find out why the horn is acting up.

I think that I may be able to shed some light on the 2 extra wires. (Pun Intended). The extra wires should be Blue w/Red stripe wire and a solid Black wire. These are used on the UK designated bikes for the Parking Light circuit.

Maybe we can get some of our UK friends the chime in.

just a thought on the horn issue, Can you take a piece of wire to make a temp ground wire, Hook it up to your horn and ground it some where, see if your horn works?, If so, Replace the ground

I'll try that this Saturday.
